So, now we know for sure that the P1 has the same fw version as the P990 and the only difference is the extra RAM. So it is only normal that all the non-memory related bugs that exist in the P990 would also be in the P1.
I am waiting for someone to test for the following bugs in P1:
1- RDS function with FM radio
2- Bluetooth headphone sound volume.
3- Quick contact list in FO messaging cannot be reached with the jog dial anymore. (Pressing jogdial on "to:")
4- Icons for read SMS are the same as the ones for not read SMS.
5- One loses one's selection of ticked SMS messages when opening any SMS message.
6- Editing a number before call-is it possible to see the cursor without using the stylus?

@makbil:

1 - Works beautifully with the FM stations in Singapore. BTW the new interface is uber-slick!

2 - My unofficial tester aka sister says that I sounded soft on the DS970 (I could be speaking too soft, or the mic is really weak), will do a more proper test if I have the time. I could hear her clearly though.

3 - Pressing the jogdial on "To:" will present a pop-up menu of recent contacts with an option to view your entire contact list.

4 - That's right.

5 - That's right too...

6 - Sorry, don't quite get what you mean...

I noticed that there were some reports of the SMS timings reported in GMT but this wasn't the case for me. For me, I've got my home timing displayed in the Time app on top with London below; I'm suspecting that people with this timing bug had the London at the top and their home timezone below... BTW, the sent timing is with respect to your phone timing, and the receive timing is the actual time (which I believe is the timestamp from the SMS server).

I'm not surprise that P1 didn't bring any new features from P990/M600/W950. the difference is the (15?) expandable shortcuts in the standby menu? since the bugs in P1 looks like similar to P990/M600.

is there a red/greed rectangle sign at P1 camera viewfinder when focusing? just like k750?? or still just blank and guess where the focus is like P990?

sorry for my english

@ ryolasta
Check the lower left corner of the camera window for a orange/green camera-icon that indicates the status of autofocus.

If you look here:
http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/R6D23
I'm talking about #68 and #96, if you click on the numbers there are details on how to reproduce them.
I would appreciate if you could look there and give a try on the P1. Thanks for the effort.

@makbil:

Bug #68 on the wiki: I can just scroll the jogdial and the cursor will appear already, I didn't have to use the stylus on the screen before that.

Bug #96 on the wiki: The FM stations in Singapore only uses RDS to display their station names (which is quite short) with no song info, so I'm unable to fully replicate the bug. Just their short station names work fine though.

Another "bug" (which if I recalled properly is carried over from the R6D23):
Using the keys Y or N for Yes/No does not work in the pop-up dialog box for new incoming messages. This keyboard shortcut works generally for other Yes/No confirmation dialog boxes but not for the incoming message one. Maybe SE can take a look into this? It spoils the usability by a bit every time the dialog box appears...

@ryolasta

When focused there is a sound and the word 'locked' appear on the screen but no indication of what it focused on

@makbil

On my phone if you 'Edit before Call', need the stylus to get the cursor. So issue still there.

The bluetooth bug is still in place (Nokia car kit 11 second connection and the incoming calls are dopped, even if BT isn't used to answer!) no pairing available to parrott kit
The media player smart sort (within an album) doesn't work - it sorts by track name rather than file name (01, 02, etc.), so albums play out of order.
