Hi Boba,

Two reasons really firstly it means i am back to two devices and secondly if using a stand alone Music player i would miss incoming phone calls for an hour plus at a time which would not be a good thing really also i only really use it when walking Otis and even now in the car as Otis has a problem with Motorbikes that seriously hurts my ears.

Forget to mention for you lucky E90 users i actually found although i hadn't got round to installing it yet a new app that due to the fact you have so much Ram you may find useful.

It is called PowerBoot and will load the apps you choose at boot up more details can be found at this link

http://www.wireless-labs.com/powerboot/

I am very interested to know just how well this works as it does sound really useful and would i imagine increase even further the speed of opening apps for the first time after boot of your device.

Marc

Marc, how about connectiong an amp like the ones available for ipods etc, to the E90 and with your shure headphones you will be rocking. I know this is a little big but there are smaller, check it out.

@marc that app sounds interesting, do noticed, that the fone is "slow" when it comes to open and close app, but its faster then 9500, 9300 when powering up

@Marc, my man Boba and Marques,

Check this out: http://www.gear4blueye.com/uk/index.php .

I have one and it is pretty good. Works well with my iPod and I use it now with my E90. Never miss a call. I even use it when I go running. I put my E90 in my snazzy Northface running backpack and I am off.

Sorry guys. Corrected the link.

@themarques

Appreciate the suggestion but i really am not a fan of adding bit's of kit and wouldn't an amp just increase the volume level? This is not the real problem i have with the E90 a slighter lower volume i could of lived with just about. It is the difference in the reproduction of the sound as in the whole sound stage definition, separation and richness and detail not just the volume issue for me.

@Dogmann,

Hey dude, have you tried using a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter then using your headphones with this? I use my Shure e5c's with my E90 and the sound is pretty good. Give it a try. You might be pleasantly surprised.

@sapporobaby

That was exactly the set up i was using and whilst i really do appreciate every ones input in trying to resolve this issue for me. I really do think i will be sticking to my decision, i can always change my mind later and get another should i get reports that Nokia have changed the Music player and not just improved the volume. But definitely for now i am sticking to my current conclusions and devices.

I also agree that the sound is pretty good easily as good as any other E series device, but this is the problem i have been spoilt by the N95's quality and that really is the problem if i hadn't had the N95 i doubt i would of even noticed to be honest. It was only due to some other comments i had read that at the time i actually disagreed with that made me decide to take the N95 out of it's box and charge it up to see if there was a difference. Once i started listening it was apparent to me immediately and there was just no going back, possibly i am my own worst enemy as really am a bit of a control freak and always want the best i can get. I find it very hard to settle for less and is both a blessing and a curse.
