What utter rot! Eldar gave his opinion of the iPhone, which included pointing out its flaws. If one doesn't agree with Eldar's assessment then fine, but it doesn't meant that Mobile-Review deserves to be attacked. Personally I think the iPhone is a piece of crap, but I respect the opinion of others people who think it's a good product. I certainly wouldn't be happy to see them suffer because their views are different to mine.

Who is to say that Eldar wouldn't have praised it UI? And also the effect the device had on the established mobile phone market.
Even SE and Nokia admitted that it had given them something to think about. The UI is marvellous, you can't deny that. Ease of use is very important and if the iPhone brought something new to the table then they have to be applauded.
How many times have you heard people cursing moto's or samsungs UI before? These things matter. Don't forget that. What matters here is Eldar being gagged. Gagged?

This isn't the thread to discuss the iPhone so I shan't go into much detail, but suffice to say that whilst I appreciate that the iPhone has some nice features I think that, overall, it's a piece of crap. One should be allowed to give one's opinion on something without fear of reprisal. If someone didn't care for Eldar's opinion then they were perfectly free to create a thread on M-R and debate the issue. I agree with you, the issue is Eldar, and M-R, being gagged.

There has been no confirmation that this is an action from Apple/iPhone fans!! The only indication is a message Eldar received on ICQ prior to the attack. That message was sent from one person, we don't know if there's a whole group of people behind that loner.
Therefor I think it's unfair to blame this on Apple/iPhone fans as many of these doesn't have the skills to perform such an action!

Eldar has said that he doesnt know that it was Iphone people only that they were one possibility. He has offered $1000 to anyone who provides real proof of who did it.

Get real! Next you'll be saying Eldar attacked his OWN site. Many people know Eldar personally and let me assure you he is one of the most genuine people you could ever meet.

I agree, odel isn't accepting the idea, because he tend to prefer apple products (which is his right).
but anyway, it's not the iphone we should complain about (at least in here), it's this headless fanatical team, we should attack the iphone itself only if proven that apple (the company) is behind this all.
but anyway, if you were an iphone hater would you find a better occasion to bash the iphone?

Odelsteken is one of the less "rabid" Apple devotees in my experiance, There might be a million and one things behind the attack, the apple message is the only prior indication given however.
The majority of Apple fans are just normal people like you or i ( if you call that normal)
, But i have to say that The brand does attract more than it's fair share of screwball die hard fanboys who take an attack on it's products as a personal affront to themselves.

I am a fan of Apple design myself and every brand has its fanboys.
What gets me is how many people depend and rely on Mobile-Review; the hundreds of thousands of people that visit on a regular basis have all been robbed! All those other sites that feed from its news articles, its scoops and reviews. Its not just Eldar that has had something dear to him taken away, its thousands of people - its a huge resource.
Looking forward to his return anyway, he knows he has great support behind him.
Anyway I wasn't a regular at MR, I only used to visit mobile review to laugh at the quirky translations
