Just a questions, is there actually a difference between CDA areas? Is a world 1 really different to one from somewhere else? or i it just languages offered?
Will I loose out on updates or something?

I was asking that for the people who did have the issues.
I myself had the phone rebooting when trying to scan for WLAN happened randomly over the last three weeks. I have the Fring/Storage wizard incompatibility issue but it's not much of a bother really. And I haven't ran in the long email crash issue either.

Just finished debranding a second P1i in as many nights to WorldWide Generic 1 with Davinciteam - easy peasy.

Now to run SEUS for the update.

World Generic 1 and 2 just seem to get updates first.

Still waiting to see whether its worth paying to upgrade now or wait until who know when.

Doesnt seem like any major changes thus far.

My friend who got a World 1 updated his P1i and half way thru the update, it failed.

I have his P1i with me, i tried to use SEUS but it said 'No update Availlable" i suggest we use davinciteam to rollback the fw but he doesnt want to pay 20euro.

The phone vibrates when you switch it on but it wont start. Any suggestion before he takes it to an SE service point?

Its been 2 days since i have updated my P1i, personally, didnt really notice any performance improvement.

- Based on my usage, the battery last longer, i think.
- The camera is still the same, noisy under low light and still got the green tint as previously discussed on another thread.
- UI is smoother
- Startup RAM at 77MB from 75MB as far as i can remember from the prevoius fw.

I have CDA162024/87 R1A no update either. I seem to have the lowest firmware "R1A". Is this the lowest? And how exactly do I know if this is a World Generic phone? Will the CDA version tell you where the phone came from? I mean which country?

I bought this from ebay. Thanks!

anyone know how i could change my CDA so i could update with the hong kong firmware..does the file swapping thing for p990i work for p1i??
