I think google earth does it (with the "My location" function) if your phone doesn't have GPS.

It does. But it's pretty rubbish. For "driving" use you'd be stuffed. When I am sat at home and use that feature it puts me at about 3 miles away! But then I am in a low signal area. In London it was more accurate. But it can only really guess, and seems to use a lot of fixed positions rather than your ACTUAL position.

Interested in some of the other apps such as copilot and so on. TomTom works ok for me but I always like to play with something new!
