Yes, Mizzle, don't be hard on yourself.
To get a CEO of a major corporation like SE to directly answer any questions would be a major achievement.
-From my expeience its hard enough getting the PR department to respond to anything but everyday marketing blar.
If you are successful, you will have done very well.

Actually, it's not that hard. You've just got to know the right people

Usually the PR department replies in less than 5 minutes if I write in work hours. Out of work hours it can take several hours or to the next day.
By the way, I've already done the same with Miles Flint, the ex-CEO of

- but that was an interview, not questions from you guys

Dear

expert Mizzle
I am Sorry to say that Google maps mobile can not identify Serial port hence hge 100 doesnt work at all in non gps phones like K800i etc. If you have proof of its working then kindly post some pics if you can otherwise ask them to launch a better gps accessory.

Look
here
52 phones listed as being compatible including low-end, mid range and high end phones. Most phones are either just released or recently announced, but K800i/K810i/K818/K858 are included also P1i/P1c.

Oh My God ! Carkitter ! I know that K810i is compatible with HGE 100 but HGE 100 is not compatible with Google Maps Mobile. I know it's confusing so i write like this :-
->HGE 100 Can work with K810i
->Wayfinder software for mobiles can identify HGE 100
->Trekbuddy software can identify HGE 100 but in turn you have to a lot of programming and make your own maps.
->Google Maps Mobile can NOT identify HGE 100 plugged in to your phone. So when you start Google Maps with My Location feature; it will not show your exact location because it is not programmed to fetch GPS data from serial port.

Sorry, I didn't see that you wanted it for Google Maps Mobile only. It does work with Wayfinder Mobile, though. Anyhow, I think that it could work with K850 and other A200 phones, as they support JP-8, which includes the MSA umbrella standard, which includes the hardware dependant Location API (JSR 179).
Anyhow, this is off-topic.

Nothing confusing about your statement above. I've highlighted the bits I felt needed a reply despite being off topic.
If you want to buy it, then use it with whatever maps

specifies. If you want to use it a different way, then expect problems/compromises. Either way, it's not Dickies problem. Besides, the questions were sent long ago.

Thanks mizzle. A k850i owner told that gmm doesnt work. I know its off topic but its a good platform to request. From the 2008 portfolio thread i came to know that next announcement will be around 26th and gps accessory might be launched like last year. As far as other maps are concerned ; let me tell you others need payment and you have to pay for gprs too. No other company has covered my city as beautifully as gmm did so no question for compromise and i dont want to leave SE.
