@artesea

No sub-folders as I use POP3 for my desktop Outlook so I don't let it save messages on the server (so it means my phones/PDA's only see messages I have not read on my desktop). This is seriosuly baffling, I have a qualification in Microsoft Exchange so I'm no stranger to e-mail servers and how they work! Think I'll have to contact my provider!

@albantsui

On my W960 I have an application called Wallpaper and it gives me a way of trimming/cropping the image. I've never used the P1i so I can't say if its the same but it sounds like it does what you say the P1i version does. My organiser is R6F41.

This is the bug I am referring to
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=160147
as if it appears in the latest p1i firmware...

I've just got my w960i and not using it yet and I am at work at the moment so I cannot check the organiser version until tonight. Hope this is not a new 'feature' in the upcoming firmware.

Just found another one......

When using T9 if you need to apostrophise a word most T9 systems are happy with that.

W960i will sometimes do it but mainly you end up with '7 at the end and a message 'Word not in dictionary'

Maybe not a bug but needs sorting out and that sucks!!

i get the freezing problem too and its REALY frustrating me - it happens approx every 2 days and nothing responds, have to take out battery. i once caught it in mid-freeze and the whole phone jst gt slower and slower, backlight did not turn on thn eventualy it ground 2 a halt and nothing workd
and its not to do with any applications running eithr - that happened with only messeges and phonebook open and i have had it happn with nothing open (no wireless or bluetooth eithr)

askd sony n they said send in the phone n they will look at it for 5 days n maybe fix it... i dnt wanna lose my phone 4 5 days?!?!?!

if ne1 nos a solution PLZZZZ tel me coz i want 2 cry! lol

also ne1 with w960i: gdesk is a 100% must! (search it on google) it isnt yet 100% compatible with w960i so you have to spend about 3 hours seting it up but once it is done, navigation is SOOOOO easy. i found it realy dificult 2 find things when i 1st got my phone but with gdesk you can make your own home screen and have nice big icons 2 go to whatever you want. trust me its amazing!

might end up sending back my w960i tho if i can, its not as great as i was expecting and still has lots of problems and bugs. its a realy nice phone jst not increadible and dificult to use.

my wifi keeps disconecting too if any1 has a solution to that?

and ipmart-forum.com is also a gr8 place to get games/apps for free

So it happened again. And this time during a phone call. The f**in' phone shot down again. And a while later... AGAIN. 2 times at 1 day!
I contacted SE support via phone and they said just try to reinstall the FW and see... If that doesn't help send it in.

I love SE but the phones stability sucks big time!

Cheers,
Mange

Hi ive just bought a new w960i and am getting used to it.

So far ive noticed that the phone does not vibrate when being charged and a call comes through, but does when not being charged. Is there an option for this? Is this happening to everyone?

Also i see that the menu system gets a little confused at times, and sometimes when you click into something, it displays another screen for a milisecond before going into the option, does anyone else have this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

I think you'll find that no SE phone vibrates while on charge.

i was realy frustrated with navigation too but i found an answer to my prayers!
search for GDesk and install it (its free)
it replaces the home screen and you can make your own menu system with seperate pages for different things and it gives you an option of an unbelivable amount of shortcuts im 100% happy with navigation now!

it does not yet say it supports the w960i yet but it works and probably will with the next update.

the 1 anoying thing is you cant lock keys. to do this, press a number on the keypad wich minimizes it and then press * lock as normal. when you unlock it will be maximized again

also anyone looking for apps/games go to ipmart-forum.com and look in the UIQ section. they have a HUGE amount of everything and all free ..tho some arent ment to be
