And of course, everyone is exactly the same. No, some people prefer not to use vibrate, and rather a ringtone. You don't even know the purpose that the original poster had in mind, so please don't generalise.

If I mentioned in previous post that something is just mine experience, I don't see how I'm generalizing..

"well i use my very loud w900i speaker to listen to music whilst taking a bath as using a headset whilst taking a bath might not be such a good idea... "

Ever tried with FM radio? It can produce more powerful sound, plus you don't have to bother with harmful bathroom moisture..

Anyway, thanks for helpful suggestions, as of now I'm thinking of 6500 classic, k530i and w610i (regardless the display is not 240 x 320). A hard fight, let us see who will be the winner..

Yes i agree as im very fussy about having decent call quality in a mobile since thats what its actually for. My 6300 is very loud and clear for the ear piece during calls but its better leaving the call clarity off as it distorts otherwise its loud enough with it off.

On the other hand, I've got completely different story to tell. My previous 6300 had many unpleasant issues - battery time was pathetic (less than one day not so heavy usage), I couldn't make a call longer than 5 minutes cause it's get hot like oven, and I couldn't actually hear the opposite side, given the fact that earpiece volume was not nowhere near to sufficient on it's highest level, with or without call clarity on. Maybe it's because mine was "made in Hungary", maybe not, beats me. At the end, maybe there's no two same models with the same characteristics, so the conclusion might be - (we should) try before (we) buy.

Yes totally agree, call quality can vary enormously even between the same model, I've had numerous examples of both Nokia 6300's and SE W880i's and call quality from the same area ranged from barely acceptable to outstandingly clear, but I suppose it depends on many variables.

My 6300 is fine its also Made in Hungary does not get hot and its got latest software so perhaps issues have been solved. The call quality on mine im with O2 is very very loud trust me and never had any problems. It must have been early software issue cos sometimes i have to turn volume down. Sometimes i find certain networks call quality is also louder than others. Orange 3 and O2 are very clear and loud but Vodafone and T Mobile are more muffled and less loud. Thats from experience i have used every network. I once used the same phone on Orange and T Mobile and T Mobile was very quiet.

Might agree with that, famous Nokia SW glitches. Especially knowing the fact my 3110c year ago was well known by it's low speaker volume, but now with the latest software it's loud like hell, earpiece & speaker both. Which bring us to a conclusion Nokia doesn't make a thorough enough check up of their phones prior to it's release, but is trying to repair all the bugs during (our) exploitation, which, again, is driving me crazy. That's why I'm a fan of SE. although current Nokia user (I think SE cares much more about their final products than Nokia).

SE cares more about the final product. Ahem K850 P990 as well as few others. From experience i have had more problems with SE than Nokia though i prefer SE phones overall. I have gone through several Nokia phones with not a single problem.

Well I've had both (Nokia 6233 and Nokia N73 ME) and I'd say the 6233 was defintely the loudest, although I don't know wether firmware updates have increased the N73 volume as mines just as it was when I bought it.
