I'll wait for a iPhone nano I can have on any network. Until I can have it on the network I want without having to hack it I'll leave it alone. I just see it as a brilliant flawed device at the mo. Keep trying Apple.

Not 100% sure: but it has something to do with Safari vs. other web browsers. Safari is pretty fast and from what I heard, it's faster on SDK 2.0.

Hi caluf

The only way that could work is if it is an updated N95 and even then i would be surprised. It defiantly doesn't look like full speed HSDPA on the iPhone and read some where it may be just 1.8mbps HSDPA. What ever Steve wants to say about his browser it is better on my E90 than the iPhone as it remembers the size i want the page always to open in. Unlike the iPhone that makes you change for each frigging page you open.

More and more reports are all saying the 3G has to be activated at point of sale which in the UK will be 02 and CPW no more iPhone from an Apple store.

The more i read the more i am beginning to believe to use MobileMail or in fact the 3G iPhone it will have to bought and activated through an official channel. It looks to me that Apple reduced the price to entice people to buy them with contract as that will be the only way for the 3G version to be bought or work.

Dogmann...
From what I have read... I do agree with you it looks like o2 and Apple at least are only going to allow activation in their stores only...as well as carphonewarehouse....

But for o2 at least.. it is not just contract....

"iPhone is coming soon for Pay & Go

Customers will soon be able to enjoy all the great features of iPhone without a monthly contract with the iPhone for Pay & Go.

Just register your interest opposite and we'll drop you a line in early July to tell you what you need to do to be one of the first to get your hands on the new 3G iPhone."
"Switching to O2 is easy and you can keep your existing number

Switching to iPhone is easy and we have a wide range of tariff options available to suit all your needs. To purchase an iPhone with a Pay & Go tariff you need to be over 16 or over 18 if you want to purchase online.

To keep your existing number, just contact your current network provider for a PAC code. Then let us know your PAC code when you purchase your iPhone in-store, or contact us online when you have received your iPhone. Your existing number will be transferred within two working days of us receiving the PAC code. We'll give you a temporary number whilst you wait for your number to transfer so you can continue to use your iPhone.

Where to buy?

You'll be able to purchase the iPhone online at o2.co.uk, in one or our O2 high street stores or by calling O2. It will also be available at The Carphone Warehouse."
"Existing O2 Pay & Go customers upgrade to iPhone

If you're an existing O2 Pay & Go customer and want to upgrade to iPhone, you can do so at anytime and may also be eligible for an upgrade reward. You can choose to take your upgrade reward as either call time or as a discount off the price of the iPhone if you buy in one of our O2 stores*.

You'll be able to upgrade to iPhone in one of our high street stores or by calling one of our upgrade advisors."

*Upgrade rewards are based on your top-ups over the last 18 months or since connection or your last upgrade whichever is the most recent. Call time reward is based on 10% of your top-ups up to £200 and handset discount is based on 5% of your top-ups.

From https://www.o2.co.uk/iphone/paygo

No price advertised as yet....

Funny thing, but correct me if I am wrong but the n95 runs a safari browser, so I am guessing its gonna be like the blackberry browser and compress stuff etc coming down the line.
