Well then clearly they did something wrong. The K850 is not better at sound at all,its just average, i remember the W900 being a lot better.

The K800 is not bad though, must say i liked its design when it was launched,looked very futuristic. You're going to love the N82, its a great device although i must warn do not expect amazing sound quality, its very avarage but if that doesn't matter then you'll realy like it.

Its ok about the sound i dont actually use my mobile for main music device i have a creative 30 giga byte player for that. Im after the camera wi fi and everything else in a not too big frame. As for the K800i i think its last decent camera SE made the phone is great except for operation is slow and the bloody joystick. Music is not bad but distorts when up high. I got it for £60 quid on O2 pay and go upgrade with trade in. Its only till i can afford my N82 soon as i broke my Nokia 6300.

@Bonovox:
Are you talking serious? c mon I admit there are some Nokia phones with better sound than SE becuase of the DSP, but please be more realistic.

k800- slow?
w580 - poor sound and hard to make calls?
Did you "heard" bad things about w880? have you tried one?

Do you have anything positive to say about ?
becase I read everywhere you like SE but you NEVER say any good about it.
I Think t you are just a Nokia fanboy trying to put SE dowm always.

Sorry for the off- topic

Lets get things straight here. I have for years loved SonyEricsson phones but most of their new ones are poor in my opinion i dont hate them. A friend of mine at work had so many problems with his W880i and i listened to sound and i thought it was tiny. Also i read many reports of problems with that phone. As regards to my K800i it is very slow when navigating menus and sometimes in music player i press for something to happen and it takes nearly 15 seconds to respond. Honestly its slow but i think its a great phone otherwise. SonyEricsson over the years mainly few years back made great phones but i have tried out quite a few of their newer phones and really think alot are poor. And yes i do love Nokia too and even starting to like Samsung so im not knocking SE for the fun of it i just think they aint what they used to be.

Oh what i meant to add was the W580i when making calls the sound quality in the ear piece was very muddy and muffled even at full volume. Its the same on my K800 bit muddy but not as bad as W580.

Mobile Dsp's got more psychological effect than its hearing effect.

Nevertheless, Walkman wins in the sound quality department(many think sound quality = loudness..which is not) as i have tested n70,n73,n80,n81,n90,n91 8gb,n95,n95 8gb and w900i, w960i

anyways just for general information, nokia navigator 6110 is the loudest(most proly 6210 might be even louder)!!

BRR

No. It has got nothing to do with the chip in W960.
