Asalam o alaikum warah matullah wabarakatuhu
Couple of dua's observed by the Prophet (PBUH) regarding every day activites.
1: Leaving the House
(Sunan Abu Daood , Hadeeth Number 5095 ; Tirmidhi, Hadeeth No. 3426)
2: Entering the House
(Sunan Abu Daood, Hadeeth No. 5096)
3: Entering the Toilet
(Sahi Bukhari, Hadeeth # 142 ; Sahi Muslim, Hadeeth # 375)
NOTE: Can also be read by omitting the "Bismillah In front"
4: Leaving Toilet
(Tirmidhi , Hadeeth#7 ; Abu Daood, Hadeeth#30 ; Ibn-e-Maja, Hadeeth#300)
NOTE: One should enter the toilet with left foot in first and leave the toilet with right foot out first
Wasalam o alaikum warah matullah wabarakatuhu

Salams,
A lot of confusion in my community about some documentary (Channel 4 maybe) that came on recently. It was about how some Arabs tried to change the Qur'an and the whole conspiracy surrounding it. A lot of people are wondering if their Qur'ans are the real deal or not.
I said that it is impossible to change any of the Qur'an because it cannot be bettered therefore, the slightest change will be so clear as it will destroy the verse. The Qur'an also challenges people to produce a better verse which cannot be done anyway.
I was hoping that someone with more knowledge could find some verses that may state that Allah will never allow this to happen and that such an act is impossible. I don't have the knowledge to make such statements so its better if I get some help before I start telling people.
Jazakallah.

@bad
as per my knowledge provided to me by Allah, Alhamdolillah, there is no verse like that in the Quran. But if Allah wills, He can change the heart of people from stop making changes in the Quran. That is in the hikma of Allah. In Islam, we know that Allah has done many things to separate the Maumins from the Munafiks. Like in the case of Battle of both Badr and Uhud. May be this is just a hikma of Allah of doing that again, i.e. separating the pure of heart from the unpure, Allah knows the best.
Having said that, there are verses in the Quran challenging people to produce any verse like the Quran and the challenge is still open. The Quran even says to gather all the jins and human beings alike to accomplish this task. And I totally agree with you that someone who knows the Quran very well can detect slightest change in the Quran.
This is the beauty of this Book (Quran) that it can still be verified as it was at the time of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). None of the other Holy Books (Bible etc) can be verified. People have made so many changes in them. Those who will try to alter the Quran are indeed misguided by Allah and will certainly perish, if not in this world then in the here-after.
One more important thing, and this is to all of us including myself. This news is new to me. I did not hear about this before. So in order for us to refrain from circulating "rumors" without confirming them (which we muslims are ordered not to do) it is best to provide a source or a reference to these kind of talks, if available (ty @bad for providing a reference to it). Because we all know how rumor spreads. and if that news is not correct then it will create a bad image about Islam. Therefore, we should be extremely cautious. May Allah guide us all towards the right path. Ameen Sum Ameen

no worries brother.

Salam alaikum brothers... Sorry for the delay...
Firstly, I only reverted this year... It was about 6 months ago...
I was brought up as a Christian, (Church of England) and my mother goes to church each week but has her own personal views of things (i.e. she believes that Mary Magdalin was married to Jesus) and does not follow the church blindly. My father is an athiest.
During my teens I moved away from Christianity as it couldnt answer my questions and became an Atheist... I would say that over time, as I went into my early 20's I began to think about it further (not too deeply) and had Agnostic beliefs but felt that you should do good, be kind to people etc...
A friend of 15 years (who I have worked with also for 5 years) is a Muslim but only really started practicing over the last couple of years, also about 4 or 5 of the people I have worked with (closely) over the last couple of years are Muslims...
We has many discussions and I would put across my scientific point of view (I had alot of belief in science and what could be proven etc) while they put across their Islamic view... I didnt feel that I was missing anything so continued to not be religious and didnt feel the need to look into Islam or anything else for that matter...
With all the media attention etc over time I found that I was in a position where I had a group of friends who were Muslims and the message being preached by the media was totally different to what I knew through them... This made me think...
My friend gave me a book on Islam & Science (cant remember the authors name but he's an Indian guy whos very good!) and that answered some of the questions I had previously and also was of great interest to me as I saw myself as someone who believed in science...
This made me look into Islam in more detail and at this point I came across Abdul Hakim Murad (Tim Winters). As I was able to relate to him in a way that I hadnt been able to do before (english, white guy, ginger beard - mine for some reason is ginger even though my hair is dark/mousey blonde?! - i now see it as a blessing from Allah!) it really began my journey...
I eventually got to a point where I could see that my Agnostic view of doing good etc fitted in with Islam and that my scientific view also fitted in... At this point I realised that I was a Muslim!!! Alhumdullilah!
After reverting I found out that my friend had been praying special d'ua for me, that Allah would open my heart... And he did!
After reading 'The Sealed Nectar' I relate it to the Prophet (PBUH) praying d'ua for Umar Al-Khattab's conversion!
Thats my story in a nutshell...

@Brother Aqil
subhanAllah , mashAllah ... It is indeed Allah who opens the heart for those who He wills.
@All, alhamdolillah tomorrow is juma. A brief reminder for all of us regarding what the Quran and the Sunnah says about this day.
"O you who believe! When the call is proclaimed for prayer on the day of Jumu'ah, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah, and leave off all trade: that is better for you, if only you knew. And when the Prayer has been offered, then you may disperse through the land, and seek of Allah's bounty; but remember Allah often, that you may prosper. But when they see a bargain or amusement, they disperse headlong to it, and leave you (O Muhammad) standing! Say: What Allah has is better than any amusement or bargain, and Allah is the best of providers. (Al-Qur'aan, surah al-Jumu'ah, 62:9-11)"
http://www.abdurrahman.org/salah/fridaycongregation.html
What Prophet (PBUH) said we (muslims) should do on a friday.
[b]1 Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "Any person who takes a bath on Friday like the bath of Janaba and then goes for the prayer (in the first hour i.e. early), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel (in Allah's cause); and whoever goes in the second hour it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; and whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a horned ram; and if one goes in the fourth hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e. starts delivering the Khutba), the angels present themselves to listen to the Khutba." (Sahi Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 13, Number 6)
2 Narrated Salman-Al-Farsi:
The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then uses his (hair) oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds (for the Juma prayer) and does not separate two persons sitting together (in the mosque), then prays as much as (Allah has) written for him and then remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven." (Sahi Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 13, Number 8 )
3 Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "If I had not found it hard for my followers or the people, I would have ordered them to clean their teeth with Siwak for every prayer." (Sahi Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 13, Number 12)
4 Narrated Abu Huraira:
heard Allah's Apostles (p.b.u.h) saying, "If the prayer is started do not run for it but just walk for it calmly and pray whatever you get, and complete whatever is missed. "(Sahi Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 13, Number 31)
5 Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "When the Imam is delivering the Khutba, and you ask your companion to keep quiet and listen, then no doubt you have done an evil act." (Sahi Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 13, Number 56)
6 Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) talked about Friday and said, "There is an hour (opportune time) on Friday and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet his demand." And he (the Prophet) pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands.
(Sahi Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 13, Number 57)

@king
thank you very much for your concern about modern science and Islam. I will be more than happy to help you with the best of my knowledge. Mentioned below are a few of the many scientific miracles mentioned in the Quran.
1: Embryology
The Quran goes in a lot of detail regarding the formation of a human being. I will quote a few of the verses of the Holy Quran regarding this matter. Renowned Embryologist, Dr Keith L. Moore has confirmed all the facts described below in the book
The Developing Human and has confirmed that Quran is indeed the word of Allah. We all know the process of reproduction, a single sperm fuses with the egg to form zygote. The Quran explains this beautifully in the following verse
Does man reckon he will be left uncontrolled [without purpose]? Was he not once a drop of ejected semen? (Qur'an, 75:36-37)
http://www.miraclesofthequran.com/scientific_57.html#85
As you may know that the Prophet (PBUH) was illiterate and there was no medical college or advanced medical equipment to confirm that only a single drop out of many is required for human birth.
Another most important fact stated in the Quran regarding this subject is given below
We created man from an extract of clay. Then We made him as a drop in a place of settlement, firmly fixed. Then We made the drop into an alaqah (leech, suspended thing, and blood clot), then We made the alaqah into a mudghah (chewed substance)... (Quran, 23:12-14). Literally, the Arabic word alaqah has three meanings: (1) leech, (2) suspended thing, and (3) blood clot.

I will now post few pictures to back up the description in the above verses
Resemblance between a human embryo and leech, 1st meaning of alaqah
Second meaning of alaqah, a suspended thing (shown by B on right side pic)
Third meaning of alaqa, a blood clot, the sac like structure of the embryo resembles a blood clot
confirming the meaning of mudagah (a chewed substance)

Other Quranic miracles regarding Islam are listed below
2: Geology
* Mountains
* Formation of clouds and rain
* Earth Crust
3: General
* Formation of Milks in cows
* Honey Bee and the production of Honey
* An invisible barrier between salt water and fresh water
So many other miracles are listed and explained in the following website.

If you need some extra information please
DO NOT hesitate to ask and I will provide you with some more information. I hope this answers your question and clears any concern you had.
