All-in-one device concept my ass, hasn't happened since W900i, UIQ long gone, barely any touchscreen phones, camera quality average, Walkman's only a brand name, design philosophy same for sliders and candybars, usability limited.
Funny how people say their SE's are moddable, but S60's are too.

I can find one similarity, they're all better than what SE offers.

This discussion is becoming farcical, but very funny nevertheless.
The current argument could be applied to any manufacturer.
Don't most Blackberries not look like Blackberries? Do Samsung's sliders not mostly look like Samsung sliders?
I think all or most manufacturers are guilty of 'copy and paste' and I think it is because they all have, for the most part, a similar feature set and like to imprint their own 'style' on their designs.
Plus, there is nothing wrong with using a formula that works; one could argue that SE should never have tried to replicate the success of the K800i for it will be guilty of 'copy an paste'. But then there would be no other 3G candybars in the in Cyber-Shot range, like the C510, thus leaving a gap in its portfolio.
I wouldn't say 'copy and paste' is exclusive to SE, just because someone mentioned it in a article once.
Just my tuppence'rth.

@driftmania:
Yes, all of them do look very similar. Not in a good way.

a friend of mine is saying: "if you don't have arguments against the woman, tell her she is ugly". this discussion sounds familiar...

in my opinion, as i have been a SE user for a lot of years now, i can say the folllowing...
in terms of design, SE trumps over nokia.
in terms of operative system, stability and quantity of programs available, nokia rules that segment.
the problem with sony ericsson is based around the minimal improvements they make over their basic platform, instead of going with a robust OS as symbian has done since the dawn of time...
talking a little bit about design, nokia allways focused on small modifications to their previous handset forms, but they have now began to improve in an amazing way... take for example the n series (no one knew what was a dual slider until nokia brought that up)
in the end, the option of buying a phone mostly depends on your own experience, so let's hear more opinions, ok...

I honestly dont understand the stupid argument posted by who ever posted the 7pics. In real life the N81, N85, N96, N82-Black, N78, N86 and 6210-Navigator do look different, maybe at one quick glimpse they look a like but hold them and see them in live photos or actual life they do differ but so what, i could come and equaly stupidly b***h about how both the iPhones look a like, how all the iPods look alike, how the SE W880, W890, W705 AND W995 look a like, how the Motorola Z3, and Z6 look a like etc. . . .seriously whoever brought the whole look a like thing with the pics needs to get a life

, the only NOKIAs that realy do look similar are the trio N81 ,N85 and N96 and even then once you see them live you can immediatly tell its 3 different models. Just get back on to the topic.
