btw do you know what the latest version of the p800 is and what is the difference between the older ones and the new one ????

@ naar the phones are identical i presume the only thing is the firmware:

firmware looks like this:

Phone: R1D
Bluetooth: R2C
Calender: R1F01
CDA: R1B02

yes i know mate im just asking what the difference is in the software?

did they add or remove anything from the original software...

and i would say the phone not shuting down on you more is a given in a newer sw

did they add new games or remove or add newer applications and such??

thats my question... i know the phones will be identical this is SE and not nokia with same software different hardware

Good news, got my P800 revived today at Fleet Communication in New Eltham. All that was needed was a firmware reflash. All settings are gone but apps I had installed are still there. The new software is R1J and I noticed that videos start playing almost immediately without the 'Buffering' message and delay. I'll post to a new thread once I've worked out what else has changed.

Thats good news Naar, great that the phones back 2 normal! my s55 is sick.. now too, keeps turnin off, and the screen flickers quite alot gonna get it checked up'. This message was posted from a WAP device

ok for my 100th post i have got my P800 in my hands 2 days ago with R1D. and let me tell you i dont know how i lived 1 month without it

its working fine and had no problems so far and just to be on the safe side i wont fill up the memory to much just in case
