That is one hell of a skyline

k800i dollshot pic, 3pmx all auto & xenon flash

You can see the xenon advantage mode was talking about, good as the LED flash of the W995 is it just can't compete (and this is on the venerable k800).

more W995 shots, buildings about 9am 8mpx all auto

Now a zoom shot (halfway through the zoom marker range, 8x?). Its pixelated but much better than what I used to get on an LG Viewty - the latter was a pixelated mess pretty useless for anything.

Nice!, that zoom looks useable.... 8X @ VGA Resolution?.... Or does it reduce the resolution automatically when zooming?

I think it reduces resolution automatically when zooming. zooming isn't restricted to VGA pic modes as in older SE phones. I could have been hitting near 16x in that last pic, not sure so tried another couple of shots at a cafe :

5mpx evening shot, incandescent lighting mode , no flash

same settings, and I was careful this time around ~8x

@mode
Almost, but not exactly. The daylight shots are difficult to compare so I'll show you what would be a real test for phone cams: evening shots and lowlight indoor shots. C905 is better in sharpness, colours and noise suppression, better compression (much smaller filesize but better detail, how on earth do they do that???) and rightly so I would say. And just to make it fair, no Xenon used because it gives C905 a much, much bigger advantage

Back to some comparison shots, W995 vs C905

TWILIGHT LANDSCAPE (everything else set to auto, timer used),

W995

C905

Awesome pics mode , try to take the pics with shutter speed led flash.
Was born prince and became king W995 and without nodoubt the best buy of the year w995.
Sosorry c905 but the winner is W995 C=Cybershot + W=Walkman (2in1) and with new generation sensor.
I w995

@Brazzuka
Thanks Will post the view with LED shutter speed, but can't do that right now as our neighbour Indonesia is busy having a fest at burning millions of cubic meter of their crops and forrests for the past few months already. We and other South East Asian countries are the annual victim of a very hazy, smoggie and unhealthy air so it's not the best time for any photos right now. Sometimes the burning stops for a day or two so that's when I'll take my shots

Not that bad if you do it right You can check out some night pics from a few pages back. Here's an assortment of random low light pictures ranging from indoor shots to a pitch dark night
