So far...
Arc is best looking phone... Everyone that see's it loves it... Battery is good too... I love the Arc... Had it lag a little out of nowhere... Personally think it was the app
I havent seen one in action yet so cant compare a dummy model against a real working SGII, but its the design element that SE has always had in the bag...

Galaxy S 2... Powerful phone... Problem I have is I love the latest... Only issue dont really like touchwiz... Much prefer the arc launcher and widgets... Would love a stable version for this phone... Battery need to test... So more over the weekend...
I hear you man, never really took much notice of the Galaxy S as had the Desire but the specs on this made me take a closer look... After holding one (of sorts - them damn security things!), my fears of it being to large were banished... Couldnt get a proper full on real deal how it feels in your hand... BUT... Its VERY light and slim... Screen is huge and looks great...
Yeah, I'm not convibced by touchwiz... Willing to give it a whirl but am keeping an eye on XDA and Modaco to see what happens on the ROM front...
Look forward to hearing more Naz...

I read somewhere that there might be some WIFI connectivity or signal strength issues. Maybe the update was part of the "connectivity" issues in the article.

Yes. Well,it's good to see good support from Samsung as I have read many forums complaining of their poor updates on earlier devices. But these could have been network branded device owners who were complaining. A similar thing happened with the older Galaxy S whereby it had signal drop when you held it in a hand grip. But they have fixed that & it's even mentioned on the Samsung website too which is a dig at Apple I think

I also think Samsung want to really get this device right as alot rides on this one getting it right performance wise

Signal is now improved on the Galaxy S as a result

Hahaha...I never knew the Galaxy s had a death grip issue as well...Good that Samsung managed to fix it with an update.
Like you said though, Samsung has a lot riding on this. This has the potential to become a strong iPhone rival.

@Masseur - How does it compare versus the iPhone?
I think it is worth the price (not that I want to pay it) plus the USB OTG adapter and certainly MHL cord.

I think perhaps Samsung made the antenna somehow stronger with the update boosting it's performance. @masseur you're loving your new toy then

So you got 16 gig internal memory & a 32 gig SD card wow that's more than the iphone handles
