OK am happy to report that so far had no issues with the Xperia U found no bugs. Nice one Sony!! Excellent quality for a budget device!! Had it nearly two weeks Here some more pics with it's nice LED.

Sorry for crap quality as the old camera I was using takes rubbish pics. Anyway for a cheap but good quality dual core phone at a bargain price Sony has done well. Just a pity about the SD card slot ommision but I am ok with that till I save some more money & get the Xperia P

Nice review by engadget, they seem to like this and even praise it for the battery life..

Bonovox,

I've noticed you have bought your self an SGS3. Are you still using your Xperia U or is it put in the drawer ?

@Bonovox: I want to buy this phone next week, please if you are kind, make a short review of the camera photo/video.
My previous phone was a Arc S and the camera was great , I had problems with the carcks in the housing and I sold it , now I can't decide which phone to buy ~ 300 euro with a good camera like ARC S , Xperia Ray or Xperia U , I know Ray's camera is good but I don't know nothing about the U's camera performance . Does Xperia U have a EXMOR senzor ?

Best regard .Tks

I am not bonovox, but if you want a good camera then xperia u will not make it for you. You could rather wait for the price drops for xperia s instead, Its around 350euro or go for s2.

Well the Xperia U has excellent build quality so now worries with cracks and it feels good in the hand with soft touch plastic. The screen is excellent too with great outdoor viewing colours sharpness etc. Camera is not too bad an improvement on the Mini 5 meg camera's whereby more detail and larger file sizes. You can see a few images taken with it in my photos. Video recording is crap but usable. Battery life is good despite small battery that's an honest answer I got a good day of average use. Call quality and signal are brilliant. Speed is good but there was some lag in browser but nothing too bad. For a budget dual core it's excellent but I still needed more. The downside are no SD slot and only small memory. But I already knew that. No bugs either.

Tks for the review .
I don't know what to buy , here in my country Xperia Ray and Xperia U are at the same price tag (250 euro) along with the new Samsung Ace 2 witch is dual core 800 Mhz , 768 mb ram and 3,8" PLS TFT display and 5 mpx camera.
Hard choise because I really liked ARC S's camera & screen.
Any sugestions ? I need a phone next week Tks
