Yeah, that HTC looks very very nice. The design is simple and clean, similar to the One X which I like.
randomuser: Do you think the Odin will be worth the 3-4 month wait after the HTC One J? Can Sony match the LCD3 of the One J?

SLCD1/2/3 is made by Sony
Also let me repeat - HTC J/LG Optimus G will not be available globally this year. So there is no 3-4 month wait.

Japan display was found by 3 Japanese companies together with the Japanese Government
Sony, Hitachi and Toshiba each has 10% stakes and Japanese Gov has 70% of the new found company

SLCD is actually majorly developed by Sony Mobile Displays. HTC One X and other devices with SLCD screens have Sony manufactured screens.

I agree, esp the black one with a red stripe. Much nicer than LG Nexus (as rumored).

Sony did develop s-lcd, but sold it to Samsung this year. Slcd3 is developed by Samsung.

Its not really favoritism played by qualcomm. Its just business. Stock is limited, so those who pay more and order larger contracts will win it from qualcomm. Its not just htc which has s4 pro, asus, lg, sharp, xiaomi and many other manufacturers have it already.
