Brilliant shot of the tower, I recognise it from playing Assassins Creed in Venice.
Well I finally managed some shots which im completely happy with. Recently I went to a Leona Lewis concert with my girlfriend as a treat for her birthday and she tasked me with taking pictures and videos during the concert for her seeing as im not exactly a fan and wasn't bothered about missing it. However, I used the time there to try out everything ive learnt from this thread and ideas from the past.

we were sat about half way back in the auditorium but the results from my N8 here are impressive (to me anyway). Usually my shots would have been a mess of noise, blur and out of focus.
I took my N8 and Galaxy S3. The Galaxy S3 performed well but the shots were still noisy or blurred. The low light setting Samsung introduced helped as did its 1080p video recording over the N8's. But, the N8 beat it hands down in other areas. Its video was better due to having better loss-less zoom and better stereo sound. I didn't mind dropping down to just 720p.
The N8's higher resolution camera and proper optics did a fine job. I can only imagine how brilliant the shots would have been if i'd have had a 808 set to full 41mp so that I could have brilliant loss less zoom in stills.

I wouldn't be convinced.
Nothing beats the 808 apart from actual digital cameras. Not even the Galaxy camera beats it.

Have you seen the apparent Samsung Galaxy Zoom phone?? Might have optical zoom on it and it looks ghastly.

This is from Nokia Lumia 520 the budget Lumia and whilst it is fairly noisy,it is also not that bad for a budget device as night shots go. Did it on night scene in the pouring rain. On night scene on these Lumia's the screen looks quite dark before taking the shot. But after shot is processed it suddenly lights up pretty bright.
