I hate having a smaller battery. They did it with the Galaxy S6 and now seemingly with the latest of the Note series. With the S6 battery life wasn't what many thought it would be. I use my phone a lot in one day and its not nice that the battery life might be reduced and compromise my daily use. Not nice Sammy. Not nice!
hi there, I'd like to ask... are you on 5.1.1 already? thanks..

Although I wouldn't consider the Note 5 because of the lack of micrsd I have to admit that if he rumour of 4100 battery is true then this is a impressive accomplishment

I don't have the S6 so no I am not on 5.1.1
Aussie, It seems the Note 5 will have a 3000Mah Battery per most articles I have seen so far. Not nice

skblakee, thanks that's what I thought too. The link tspez posted seemed pretty believable but I was wondering too how will they achieve to slim down the phone and insert such a large battery

I think it is possible to fit a 4100mAh battery in a slim body, they could make the battery flat, wide and long. I also do not believe that we have true measurements of the phone, it may actually be a tiny bit slimmer than the Note 4, but due to the tapering rear glass it may give the impression that it is much slimmer.
Here's to hoping it is 4100mAh. It makes no sense to me that both S6 Edge Plus and Note 5 share the same battery when one has a smaller battery. IMHO.

My money is that they won't be able to fit such a large battery but I would love to be proven wrong .

Actually the new process of stacking the CPU, GPU and one or two other components should allow for there to be more space to accommodate a bigger battery. Lets see what Samsung does for as far as I understand it is possible to house a 4,100 mah battery in this beast.

But if that was the case than S6 should have had a larger battery right ? Instead a smaller.one compared to S5. I am only asking as Note 5 is rumoured to have the same CPU and GPU as S6.

But the S6 Active got a huge 3500mAh unit, wouldn't make sense for a Note to have a smaller batt. than an S.
BTW, the Huawei Ascend Mate 7 is just a tiny bit larger than the Note 4, yet slimmer and it has a 4100mAh LiPo. If I'm not mistaken, LiPo cells allow for more flexible and slimmer design.

But the S6 active is thicker than what note 5 is projected to be (8.6 vs 7.6). Anyway obviously this is just my opinion I would love it if I am wrong, as you said earlier such a large battery would ensure an amazing battery life
