ER1 could be a plausible idea from a pathological liar or patchy source, silly idea.

I agree with goldenface regarding the IPxx like rating so we can distinguish the rumor from source.. the only other way I can see is Unix/Linux permissions as the number can't have two meanings but it's hard to understand actually, IPxx is much easier

So if we see something like ER30, then Sony must have been brainwashed to think like that.. and if it like ER32 then it's something like ( Sony Mobile will not be sold )

The problem with the previous one is that if the Rumour was like 4, we can assume it's either ER31, ER22, or even ER40 ( as if Kaz him self said so after drinking too much Sake or Shōchū )

I think, instead of ER0 it should be:

nodarsixar
ER1
ER2
ER3

I prefer Roman numerals:

V: Without a doubt fake/source has never been proven.
X: Quite unlikely/source has never been proven.
XV: Unlikely/source rarely correct.
XX: Possible/source occasionally correct.
XV: Very likely/source mostly correct.
XXX: All but confirmed by our Bro, Kaz, himself/source has been taken down by Sony themselves due to complete leak or source has full leak, undiscovered by Sony, yet...

I want to start a new rating system that is more representative of the rumour and the source. The object being to remove the subjectiveness of the XR system.

Tell me what you guys think.

Esato Rating (ER#)

Rating = Source Reliability + Rumour Credibility

Source Reliability
+0 - The source has never leaked info or has only ever leaked false info
+1 - The source has a patchy record of leaks, some hits but mostly misses
+2 - The sources has mostly correct info but sometimes get it wrong
+3 - The source is never wrong. The metaphorical horses mouth.

Rumour Credibility
+0 - Is absolutely ridiculous eg. "Sony to release a handset for felines with large paw shaped buttons and a loose thread of wool in the lanyard loop.
+1 - Is plausible but unlikely or the rumour has been floating for a looong time but never come yet eg. The true Ultra successor
+2 - Is probable and/or likely and generally believed to be existence. This could be leaks from different sources on different sites stating roughly the same info.

The total score would still be out of 5, but has more clarity and definition.

Some corrections regardless of the rating denominations you use.
+0 - The source has never leaked info or has only ever leaked false info
^ if the source has never leaked info = You'd not have ANYTHING to post about savvy?

+1 - The source has a patchy record of leaks, some hits but mostly misses
"patchy" coming from an I.T. working background, "Patch" means to fix or resolve issues/bugs. maybe "sketchy" would be better?

Yeah, HDR looks promising... I was planning to buy a new monitor for my PC ( Yes I still have one, and I use the montor also with my laptop ).. but after I saw AMD's preparation for HDR with their next-gen GPU's I thought it will be better to wait for HDR enabled monitors.. in any case.. my monitor upgrade plan is already too long as my current one is more than 5 years old already...

I just hope sony gets their front and back cameras nailed this time...

I really dont think they should've jumped to 23/25MP but instead made a larger sensor that performs better in low light

+1. Full manual mode would also be appreciated.

The Nexus sensor has a larger pixel size from what i understand.

And on another note Samsung are said to be fabricating their own customer 1/2" sensor at 12MP which should in theory do even better in low light. Providing rumours are true.

1/2 inch sensor is not that much bigger than a 1/2.3 sensor, around 3% bigger, the smaller MP count resulting in larger individual cell size would provide better light capturing. Ideally I'd like to see a 1/1.8 sensor, it is marginally bigger than a 1/2.3 but provides 28% more surface area for light. If Sony would opt for a bump on the back or curved rear to accommodate a larger sensor, a 2/3 in sensor would be a dream but that won't happen.
