thats what i've been trying to ask, but there has been about 50/50 answers either side!
at the moment, it seems like the answers no, but i just managed to get the red crap off the phone case, and if i take it to somewhere to remove the branding, how will they know?
especially if i take it to a carphone warehouse, they didnt ask any questions when i took my T68 in to be upgraded, they just took it.
Ill just probably take it there again, should work.
i guess you could do it yourself, there are websites selling 'logs' im not quite sure how firewood helps, but hey
ok, that was lame, but i dont understand it, anyone help?

So ... R1L does not fix the BT static... or just partial..
Does R1L just lower your vol loudness ?

i also noticed that business cards sent from a nokia is already recognized as a business card and would automatically ask you to save it in your phonebook... in the older version the business card will come in as a text message

Got mine upgraded this morning and I confirm the volume is the same and the BT static is still there although its sound appears to have changed a little so it sounds continuous than a crackle but quieter at least on my HBH-30.

Does R1L also solve the bluetooth connection lost issue? Cos when I use HBH-60 with my T610, very often the BT connection is lost during conversion and I need to transfer sound back to the phone !!! Does R1L solved this issue??

ok, kinda frustrating that my massive post has been kind of ignored, but nevermind, I thought of something quite interesting:
if you read here (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=32990&forum=2)
the guy had his sim-free phone upgraded with the voda live s*it, so his tac (whatever that means) number cant have been a voda registered one, so the upgrade process cant have anything to do with the number, just the upgraders discretion, cant we just ask for it to be upgraded with the normal firmware?
also, if you get it de branded (with whichever method you choose) then take the red off the case, its effectively a normal phone, so theyll just upgrade it with the standard firmware (so long as you remove your simcard first)

here is a description of of the imei including what TAC is.
btw. I quite like the new clock font! and the menus and everything is noticeably quicker!
