I owned a t300, lets say it has a problem that SE cant fix.

I've already downloaded mophun games given my imei etc.

Sony Ericsson send me a replacement phone.

I now have a different imei, and I can no longer use the games I have paid for which are rightfully mine.

Where do I legally stand?

It's not Sony Ericsson problem they have replaced the product.

It's Mophun's problem for locking the imei to a single handset.

Think about it this way....what happens when you buy a "hot" item from somebody but you didn't know it was hot? then the cops bust the guy. If he keeps records then, yup, you got it. You have to give it up. From what I gain by your post nothing is illegal unless you get caught......

Again with the bad analogy. Do you keep a record of everyone you send data to? Do you think that if the cops bust a ripper from a warez group like Echelon, are they going to be able to get every copy of the ripper software from everyone who downloaded/copied it? You can't compare this to property theft. It's not the same thing. Whether something is illegal or not is not going to stop people from doing it...Thats why I keep winding up with f*&$^9g speeding fines :P

As far as that goes.....look at what is happening with Dave TV and the raids. People that bought from distributers and or downloaded (ip logged) .hex's from these places are being attacked as frequently as the suppliers themselves.

DMCA I don't believe is a country thing......it is a universal law.... I could be wrong but I don't think so....either way.....It's against the law.

then why don't Sony Ericsson or someone make a software upgrade so T300 and T310 users can use java which we can download free instead of mophun?

if i'm correct, i believe that the java software takes up a lot of memory...which the t300 does not have.
