i feel i must stand yup for the z600 in my view its a very stylish phone ok not as classic as the t610 but compared to the sharp gx10 and panasonic gd87 its miles better looking than them which sell like hotcakes here in the uk so the z600 should do very well indeed

the way i see it.. there are 2 types of people who buy mobile phones.

-one who goes for style and fashion.. who almost always would buy a Nokia...
-one who goes for features.. who almost always buys an Ericsson and disregards style...

people are different.
different opinions. cant shove what you personally like up their asses, coz each has their own preferences. there will always be people who'll like the Z600, and there'll always be people who'll love the T610. i'd just say respect please for whatever the person wants.

come to think of it, its getting confusing. the way i see it, most of the people here tell others to buy the t610 and not the z600 coz the t610 looks better. now they are going for design, right? if your going for features regardless of design, you'd go for the z600's better screen. does this make t610 users nokiaish? hahahahahaha..haha...haha...ha..ha...erm... not funny? no offence aniwaes! dun flame my arse open

aniwae, im sure there are people who like the z600 for its design too.

nuh-uh. T610's far from being a Nokia.
aint sayin either has bad design. no, not like that. just saying that a mentality of "i'm buying this coz it has better design/looks" sounds like more of someone who buys a Nokia (since Nokia is well-known for creating fashion statements on mobile phones). oh well to each his own preferences. and i respect their preferences. let them have what they want, for whatever reason.

precisely. if you read further up, you see people saying things like "t610 design is so much better", "z600 aint lookin good". now is this nokiaish mentality or what!?

well, i suppose deep down inside, there's a bit of nokia in everyone of us.... hehehe (no offence again)

yes. that's what i'd call it. no offense taken.
everyone's here just to share views.

of course, there'll always be this "fashion over function" itch inside most of us... and yes, that's what i call Nokia-ish.

i find T610 and Z600 to be in different design classes. Z600 being a clamshell and T610 being a candybar (is that what u call it?) phone. comparing other clamshell phones to the Z600 in the same feature-class would make more sense if you ask me.

yep, and the internal antenna design of the z600 will thrash the gd87/88 and that v200...

I have neither the T610 nor the Z600 but I plan to get the Z600 if possible when it is launched in Malaysia in Oct, meaning next month, approxiamtely priced at MYR 1600 = USD 425.

By the way I like the T610 too because of its size but I have a lot of so-called candy bar sized phones so this time I'm gonna get a clamshell phone.

Can't wait for it to arrive at our shores!
