I'm actually inclined to beleive you.
Don't suppose there's any way of telling whether it worked in 'slow' i.e. serial mode or not?

@Sage
Many thanks for the info on the Duo Pro. You have no reason to lie as I suspect they will in the shops in a month and we will all know by then anyway.
Regarding the P900, could you establish how much internal memory it has - I hope it is more than th 12Mb (10Mb in reality) of the P800.

Ah well, never mind! I guess by the sound of it, that it'd be pretty difficult to tell for sure in your circumstances.
Thanks for the info!

ok so (another list

)
Anyway
1. Memory
2. metal or plastic ( although alot of my questions will not be answered ill try to tell by feel etc)
3. Processor (might not get exact statement but ill tell you if its faster etc.)
the thing is alot of the times i wont get i straight answer (no i wont say from it, him, them, SE etc cant disclose anything) and alot of the times i get NO answer so its hard to find some things but i think processor and whether or not it plastic or metal plated will be ok. If not i can always just go by my judgement.
sorry guys made a mistake i wont be going tommorow ( tommorow i have classes ) ill be going this friday after classes (thought today was thurday for some strange reason)
i might get a chance to look at some other proto's maybe a z600 mabye some others not sure. All thats sure is p900 (which is what it was called when i was told so i am assuming that will be the real name) will be there tommorow. MAYBE ill get another look at the duo pro but it might not be there. Also I have a question? Whats the best way to snatch everything in sight very quickly and run before getting caught

lol

the main things I'd like to know are:
- Is the processor the same (clock speed really)
- Is it any better at playing movies in full screen - that's the one thing that would really seal it as an upgrade must for this p800 monkey

@Sage
Your finding did not surprise me at all. I have written quite a lot of lenghty post just to explain to those "unbelievers" that there is no choice for P800 other than to be upgraded to read the High Speed Duo and that inturn make it compatible with the Pro also. And that moment is very close. No rush to buy the white duo if it is not that urgent. Sony isn't dumb. They are not going to sacrifice potential sales of MSPro just to make P900 different than the P800. I have gone through this last year when Sony made a switch from MS to MSPro. They did provide upgrades to hundreds of devices that is upgradeable. For those unupgradable devices they provide the Switch MS. We don't get a switch MSDuo, thus our P800 will get upgrade. End of story.
The funny thing is that usually people who came here and post some indication that P800 work with the Pro was the one that get flamed. The unbelievers usually the loudest. "Read the manual", "Read the white paper", "P800 has 128MB limitation", "MSPro won't work with P800....and I have 2 unopen 128MBDuo I would like to sell for USD 120 each"(lol)
