They both have their strengths & weaknesses but I want more of a PDA than a phone so its the XDA2 for me. As soon as I see a P900 in the flesh I'll probably want one

If some one told me I couldn't have the XDA2 I would be equally happy with a P900.

@Psikey,
I sold my P800 for £250 just the phone no extras at all, in the loot.

I will let you know what I think in a day or so. But I can say that I am impressed with the build quality, much like you said.

It really feels like a quality machine.

Question.
Everything is in English, but when ever I press the “O2 Active User Interface” button, the icons come up but there are in what looks like German.

Looks like you have connection set for German. Click O2 icon then select My XDA then click connections and select UK This message was posted from a WAP device

Well O2 phoned me with my unlock code today and I have put my Orange SIM in it with no problems (not setup GPRS yet).

Still happy with the XDA2, works better than I would have expected as a phone, no software glitches or crashes & with typical use to that on my P800 battery life is great.

I would be extremely suprised if the battery life is anywhere near as good as the P800. With regular use I get about 4 days from a full charge on my P800...can you really get that on the xda2? If you can then it becomes even more interesting.

With my usage I have to charge my P800 every 2/3 days at best.

The P800 'appears' to use more in standby-mode than XDA2.

Went to work today at 6:45am with XDA2 at 85% charge. Done usual WAP,email, calls, PDA and such and now 5:10pm and battery showing 63%. I have read somewhere that the new processor chip is more power efficient than the earlier models.

I'll have to be careful but purchased the excellent Spb GPRS monitor software ($14) which constantly monitors multiple GPRS connections showing daily data upload & dowmload & actual cost plus even shows connection speeds. Even produces graphical bar charts showing usage per hour/day/month.

Puts the info directly on the today view and icon bar at top. A MUST HAVE for any XDA user
