suppose they could write

"
thats pretty aggressive, especially if it was in capitals....
but most questions that people post the smilie in have really simple (sometimes even yes/no) answers...

so it seemed a less offensive option at the time.
even tho it is abused in much the same way as i described above..... so it didn't do what I hoped for.
Still a forum is all about asking and answering questions... so there should be no need for either
smilies or rude replies or grievance becoz of 'newbies' (

yes, in that way it does seem less offensive but perhaps the mods should have been issuing warning to such people

The mods are simply not omnipresent.
And unless they get alerted by a member, certain (bad) things may escape attention for quite a while.

Blatantly asking for free stuff that they're not prepared to pay for, probably without having tried to look for it in the first place. And they posted the self same request in another thread.
