I think we can end the petition here. Customizable sms alerts will never be implemented on older models no matter how much you cry, screem, kick or whatever method you choose to make your voice heard.
New models will however have it. From the link below
Many of them complained of the absence of a possibility to assign a personal melody for incoming SMS. We'll realize it in our new products.
