Really stupid question. But I can get a hold of a P800 SyncStation, which I believe is the DSS-20 (not 100% sure)

This should work for the update service?

If I use the upgrade service, will all my contacts and photos be nuked off the handset? I assume so, but i'd just like to ask if thats not the case :-) This message was posted from a K700i

Those who have doen the upgrade (R2L), can you get rid of the shutter sound when taking a picture by putting the phone into silent mode? Thanks.

Just updated it. Works like a charm and has retained all settings and pictures. Took about 15mins all up. Phone seems slightly quicker when navigating and entering text. This message was posted from a K700i

My old firmware was R2A041, and I used a DSS-25.
