wasn't the T230 which was designt by arima ?
so i guess that bove phones are arima phones and that the se internal development parts are more focused on the middle to high -end markt

T230 isn't made by Arima.
it was designed and created by SE's R&D center in the US. they also created the Z500 which is made on the looks of the Z200 by Arima.

MMS isn't just a software thing actually. remember T68m - T68i.
i think Arima doesn't have a licence for it.

I read so many articles about places that camera phones are not allowed. Also there are a LOT of people that all the need is a decent phont to use it.....as a phone. Yes not everybody on this planet have UIQ phone, or use the bluetooth etc etc etc. A phone has to be phone first and then all other aditional features could make it an advanced phone or a smart phone or whatever.

Most people here in Esato propably wouldn't be satisfied with these two phones. But the majority out there will be very happy.
People just stop bitching about "low end phones" or whatever.
PEOPLE HAVE DIFFERENT NEEDS, SO WE NEED DIFFERENT PHONES!

Hv u seen Pimp MY Ride... look wat happens to 'Low end cars' they pimp it up and welcome to the modern world.... i dont think 'low end phones' is related to peoples needs... its more related to people who cant afford expensive phones... not needs... if S700 were to be cheap... its considered to be 'low end phones' coz 'low end phones' = cheap phones for people who cant afford expensive ones... tats the theory behind 'low end phones' that is wat i think... what do u think?

I wouldn't say that people choose low-end phones because they can not afford high-end phones. I don't think there are that many people that have less than 400 euro. It is a matter of what you *want* your money to spend on. Most people that buy a low end phone do not want to spend say 100 euro or more on features. They have other needs in life they value.
It is a priorities issue.

(That's why people buy e.g. a Samsung E700: they do not want to spend money on Bluetooth or a MP3 ringtones or whatever else the E700 does not have but they value design, looks, status, size, etc.)

After a while people might find other features interesting, so their priorities change, and they might be prepared to spend more on a phone that answers those new demands. That's the whole idea of entry-level devices: gives you the basic functionality and when you are used to that you will have a better idea of what you really want and then make a better choice.

And all in all the two new models have a lot of features, at least if you include polyphonic ringtones, a 'trusted brand', design, standing out somewhat, a colour screen however basic it is and all that as features.

i think SE design department is now worse than Nokia. the 2 new phones presented looks like clone of K700. Looks like the design team just sit on their backends without doing any work.

I disagree.

The J200 looks more like an integration of the T600, the T230, the K500 and the T100. The T290 is a lsightly changed T230.

I don't see the similarities with K700.
