Too bad, can't even watch movie in vertical mode ????
Think this should be corrected in the next firmware upgrade..shame...

This is a rather strange request, but can you receive Japanese/chinese messages and view the characters properly? since you can't input japanese on the phone is it possible to do it on your computer (copy some japanese from vodafone.jp and paste to message and send to yourself?).

I am HIGHLY considering flashing my V802SE with this but am worried about
1 DEAD PHONE
2 Cannot view Japanese characters in my messages (I don't care bout inputting them)

yeah i think SETool just upload the 802SE main fw onto thier server, so i guess there some kind of support

Yay my V800 has now been recovered

i can now officially join the club

Thanks must go out to the Setool team for their wonderful service. My problem was totally unique and the took many hours trying to help me fix it. Awesome!

Well if i use V800 Vodafone, i indeed can see the Japanese words. (i'm a chinese.. so some words that i have put inside the songs in the phone can produce out the words.. ) But the catch is.. u can't type Japanese words. U can see but u can't type..

@gbooks3,

What have u changes? Is it so hard to decustomized? I'm just planning to decustomized V800.. hmmm.. need to be very careful...

ok, after initial euphoria of my phone being alive. I decided to test it some more. And it is now impossible to unlock or flash the phone

this is due to those silly SEMC people who upload files to EMMA II making a rather shoddy job of converting their files. They have a bug

Congrats @ gsbrooks and welcome to the V800 club . If you don't mind, please post how the problem was resolved and whether other V800 users need to update (i know you mention the problem was unique to your phne).

Any idea if the SETools team has a fix for the vodafone live softkey?

PS. So this means i can make a call to you as part of the test?
