I was syncing fine with Mac OS X 10.3.8 and my p910a. Now after upgrading to Tiger, iSync has wiped all of my tasks, address book and iCal entries from my phone. HELP!

Just spoke with Apple support in Sweden. They acknowledged a known problem with p900 and tiger. FYI I worked through the bluetooth connection probs until my p900 finally shows up as a P900 with device=phone. But now isycn says "P900 - Device not supported by isync" (or similar).
They said an update would be out "soon" and would not specify further.

Hi. I used to have a P900, and that synced fine on iSync 1.5 using the hack. Now I got a P910i, and I'm giving my P900 to my wife. I removed my P900 in iSync, reinstalled the standalone iSync 1.5, then added the P910i (as iSync will not allow 2 smartphones!), and got it to sync okay (no hack needed), except there's no icon of the P910i in iSync, but I can live with that. My wife has her own account on my Powerbook, so she has her own Address Book, etc. Will I be able to sync her P900 using her iSync? I'm thinking I need to hack her iSync for her to be able to sync her P900, but if I do that, will it affect my own iSync settings for the P910i? Or is her iSync totally different from mine? Thanks for the help! You guys are great! BTW, I'm still on OS X 10.3.9.

Well, I finally installed Tiger on my Powerbook and my P910i now works well with iSync. It installed a SIS file that after installation becomes iSync Config, which must be run for iSync to see and synchronize the P910. However, the P900 now doesn't work! iSync says it isn't supported, and I haven't found a hack yet that would make it work. I've read about some people though being able to use iSync on their P900, but for the life of me I can't figure out how they did it.

Still have not managed to get isync 2.0 (Tiger) to sync with p900. Note that isync 1.5 wont install in tiger, so I'm at a dead end. Anyone managed to get p900 working with isync 2.0? Any help greatly appreciated! OR, if you have similar experience, how can we pressure apple to solve this? (see my post above)

Hi Lawrence,
It seem that the mac sync system (isync) works for some, but not for all.
I cannot sync my p910 with my tiger. It is frustrating.
It appears : " The connection was lost while getting the changes from the device.
Device "P910a" synchronization failed"
And in the phone it appears:
Program closed
Motive code: USER
Motive Number : 11
iSync Agent Stopped

My connection works perfect. I use my Powerbook to surf the internet using the phone as a modem via bluetooth and GPRS, I can transfer files from the PB to the p910, everything works great. Everything but isync.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks in advance,
Luis

I often find with my P910i (OS 10.2) that Isync wont work (says it cant connect), but if I shutdown the phone and restart it, it works fine.

I'm not sure if this is relevant to your Tiger problem, but it cant help to try.

Listen people, sorry, I have been absent from this forum for a while... Could you when you have problems please press apple-2 when you have isync open. This will open the log file. When the problems occur, the errors will appear in RED. Please post the contents of these along with any error messages on the phone or otherwise on the computer on here? It helps a lot
Thanks people!!
If you are having connection issues, please open isync config on the phone, and click isync in the menu and STOP the agent from running. Then restart it by clicking isync menu and then start.
If you are using an EXTERNAL bluetooth adapter, please UNPLUG it and plug it in again into a DIFFERENT PORT.
Thanks guys
