Hello,

It is almost impossible to screw up your phone with firmware. Hell, you could probably flash nokia firware to it and still recover it fine. Have no fear Setool is a professional solution.

I'm sorry but i deleted them right away. Trust me you are not missing anything good.

Oh and the Z800 comes with the full version of tennis. No alpha wing though.

I will do a search here and more widely....but is there a step by step guide posted anywhere, including which cable to buy??

I am one of those who would need an Idiots Guide!

I would like to buy a S-E V800 and change it to the Japanese firmware so that I can read and reply to my email in Japanese.

The Sharp 902sh UK model actually displays Japanese and can send, but in Romaji, and receive emails in Kanji and Okurigana from Japanese mobiles and PC's.

My tests to a UK V800 showed the error message 'invalid character set' so I know it needs the Japanese language pack.

I will also look at the 'setools site' and do my best to understand.

I cannot see which files to download but I guess I will not see the Japanese files til I am all connected up with appropraite cables etc!!

The S-E V800 should be released on O2 UK soonish and I am due an upgrade!

does the SEtool website need to be online and working in order for the flashing to work
becuz that didnt happen

Yes of course. It is a logger same as the other programs. Please enter in your details username password asnd server press clear names check complete phone the flash.

This will complete the phone - no problem.

This is my friends a momentus day and one which i hope everyone with a V800 will take part of and enjoy. I myself am waiting for a T28 service cable to arrive and then i will be trying my hand at this nobel art of decustimisation.... We have moved from the dark ages of Vodafone Branded V800's into the New age of Z800's... Along with the invention of the wheel and the invention of mobile phones this could well be one of the greatest moments in history, or at least the last 3mths.

So now the end is near (of the v800 branded version), and so it faces the final curtain. Lets all hold hands and rejoice with me....

LONG LIVE THE Z800 AND ALL WHO CALL UPON IT!

Oh and well done to gbrooks, a knight in shining, albeit virtual, armour!

v800 isn't listed on sony ericsson wap page.

got it to work now but the theme files is damaged and there was not the same content as z800.

so please, please, please, please, please.... upload the content!
It can't be so hard.
