I hope you can use the USB to update your firmware but don't hold your breath, I think you may still have to use a desktop stand (DSS-60) as is the case with the K700. Remember, K750i / W800i will have the new connectors on the bottom and therefore will not use the current DSS-25.

What wrong with Vodafone branding? It's OK with the Ferrari F1 team.

Yeah like its good to be compared with Ferarri's formula one team this season cark'
(Go the mclarens! )

I don't think the CDS-60 will be much different from the USB cable that comes with it, after all the only phones required it because everything done on the old connector was serial.

I'd imagine the new interface is alot more versatile.

Even at $899 offically, its' not that bad compared to what the P/I's are saying for price then. I just wish vodafone would hurry the hell up with 3G

Well if vodafone brand the outside meaning not black and come up with their own colours like the F500, disable mp3s and ring tones, restrict anything else or make their own icons and stuff I dont think it would be so good. Of course the phone will still be a good phone I think it would be better if it was left the way Sony Ericsson made it.

I guess that depends on IF then :/
I can't imagine they'd brand a K750i too much, icons sure, a vodafone logo, more than likely, but they'd be a little stupid to change the looks of the phone itself.

in someways though I'd love a branded W800i, red instead of orange around it would be funky.

Hi City Soldier, If Vodafone were stupid enough to do that, then there is always Parallelimported.co.nz for imported phones.

Pity they don't give the same 1 year warranty all genuine SE products give though

http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=93794&start=15 In this thread it sounds like vodafone is only making silver versions. The silver is alright though. So Vodafone menu, removed games and im sure I read somewhere that they disable mp3 ring tones.

Either way Im still getting mine from China anyway. All im thinking about is how much it will cost and how much will the price drop in say a month or so. Also the firmware. Can anyone confirm updating firmware with the USB cable.

Anyone here actually with an imported k750?

voda don't disable mp3 ringtones, but restrict it to ones you buy from them.

Exactly what gelfen said. There's also plenty of ways to get around it on esato if you look.

@city: you'd be better asking in one of the K750i threads if its possible to update via the usb cable. They'll know there hopefully.
