Hi everyone! im new! lol

I was on the phone with o2 online Customer Services today and was told the same story that they would be available from the 20th June onwards however the customer service rep told me that they are expecting them to be available before that!

Fingers crossed!!!

Ahhh good old pointers. I used to develop enterprise class C applications a few years ago (I am a software developer) and memory overwrites and pointer problems used to be a nightmare to solve - many a late night was spent trying to pinpoint why an app was falling over on Solaris and not on the more tolerant HP-UX.
My point however still stands that I think its a hardware problem and not software - I'm not saying that most of the problems can't be worked around with firmware but if it is hardware the only way to really fix it is to replace the phone, which it sounds like O2 are going to be doing.

@ your nights spent on C, it is indeed a real nightmare

Yeah I know it's possible that there's some faulty hardware, but I was just pointing out that it was not the only possibility, and that a non-reproductible error is not necessarily a hardware-related problem! I would hope for SE that it's not the case, however the first batches of a phone are more hardware-failure prone, for instance I think we all remember the hissing sound on T610 first batches

ok after flitting through this thread its apparent that o2s k750s are bugged.
doesnt really help me as such cos im on vodafone with cpw and my upgrade is due around the 20th,im thinkin of gettin the k750 and i would like to know if anyone has had probs with vodafone branded k750s?
if i upgrade instore ill probably get an unbranded one but ill more than likely not get it free, but if i phone up ill be able to blag i for free but like my n6230 ill end up with a vodafone branded fone but who knows ill try instore first.....
wots my safest bet?or should i just get the s700?

The mentality of certain people (usually jung to very jung ones) defies my understanding. Why would someone in his right mind pay hundreds of dollars for a buggy thing ? ? ? Huh am I missing something ? This message was posted from a Nokia 7650

Two questions on this recall for O2 K750i's as i have had the stanby crash a couple of times.

1. Why have O2 not sent letters to the customers who purchased their phones from the stores?surely they cant expect this to be sorted by word of mouth? People who dont read forums like this would miss out surely?

2. How is everyone gonna get their info from one phone to the other when they do swap them at the store...can we keep our memory cards?i got loads of pictures, ringtones, video's etc....

any ideas??
