I wonder if I could get a good deal like these with Orange?
I've been on Orange for a few years and last year got them to match a 3 deal so now Im on Select 500 (x network) for £22. I have to bolt on some texts so maybe I could ask for some free ones and a K750 this time!
No Orange won't match this. The Select 500 is the best tarriff available on Orange so good luck in trying
Phew! I was crying by page 3 of this topic! Chiefwiggum you've made me feel better. I recently upgraded to a k750i on select 500 (500mins X-net anytime, plus 30 free sms for 6 months). I got the phone for free and it costs £25 a month.
How comes Orange won't budge on their deals like 02?
My flatmate got this deal with Orange:
400 mins X-net anytime Monday-Friday
Unlimited X-net minutes on weekends
400 text a month
for £40
I was on 750 x-net for £35

Just had to say thanks to everyone on here, the more I read the more annoyed I got with O2.
Was on Online 200 (300mins/50txt) for £30 a month.
Contract just ended, so I phoned O2, told them I wanted to cancel and asked for my PAC code. Put me through to cancellations who asked me what my reasons for leaving were. So I said 3 had offered 500xnet mins & 100 txt for £15. O2 said they'd match that and I got K750 thrown in for free. Well chuffed. Probably could have got more texts, but don't mind - talk far more than I text!!

Should have read this thread before I contacted O2! though the deal I got isnt too bad
Was on:
O2 Leisuretime Plus for £16 P/Mth (£20 minus a £4 loyalty discount) This included: 500 Offpeak Mins to O2/Landlines, 50 Offpeak Mins Xnet and 100 free txts
Got:
K750I for £29.99, extra £5 discount P/Mth (i.e now £11 P/Mth), same free calls as above plus had the option of either a free bluetooth headset or an extra 200 txts Per Mth
Tried to haggle for both the headset and txts but he wouldnt give in so I took the free txts lol
Work mon 2 fri with a phone in work so dont normally make any peak time calls anyway.
Happy enough with the deal I got

Looking forward to the phone arriving!

Hi everyone, great to see people haggling money out of 02, I was just wondering that if I am signing up for the first time whether I will be able to get such a good deal? as I won't be put in contact with the rentention dept and haven't earnt a loyalty discount.
The things I want most are at least 300 texts with the phone being a low price as well as around £15/m.
Thanks in advance,
Frank

yup you were right, cheerz m8cky.
@Frank - its risky but you could always take out a contract and then ask to cancel it within the first 14 days because 3 are offering you a better deal, I wonder if they would offer you a just as decent deal in that scenario!

@hakenvisual Well that's what Im lookin for! A deal like yours. I have the Select 500 so maybe I can at least get some free texts out of Orange and most importantly a free K750!! (unless they get hold of the W800 any time soon... ie by Aug!)
