re: calls during GPRS connections.
you can set it to automatic, but depending on whether you're just surfing the net or downloading files, then you may or may not be able to get calls, and your callers would get busy signals instead.

Check the sonyericsson.com for the address of the nearest local service point in your area.
Or check from your dealer.

@Prom,
I had the same problem here in the Philippines. Bought a T39mc in hong kong, P 8,500 pesos only! Only to realize that I had no T9. Luckily I was able to switch with my mom's T39m (she doesn't use T9). I tried everything I could here in the Phil to get them to flash it with T9 firmware but Smartnet and Ericsson said it couldnt be done.
@Gowin, is this similar to your problem where the service point hardware can't recognize the phone. That's how the people in smartnet explained it to me.

A T39mc cannot be flashed to become a T39m. i.e. Can't put T9 on it.
To upgrade the SW for either models, you have to get it done by Ericsson Canada(by courier, for free), or DSI(drop off, for $25)
Call 1-800-ERICSSON
These models are not officially released in Canada. That's why it's not easy to have them serviced by Ericsson.

Dude....
I bought my T39m in March and the s/w info shows that my version is R3B...
Exact details are:
R3B006
prgCXC125270
R#B006
prgCXC125147_TAE
Hope this answers your question....
Just as a sideline.... how do you plan to upgrade the phone.... Isn't all this info in the ROM?
