having a think about the time before the announcement.

We knew would have WM phones some time this year, and knew that Xperia was a new range....

Surprisingly, no one mentioned/or guessed anything about these much further apart from when they were first discussed.

I mean, when it was announced, i was like, ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah, forgot about about xperia and wm..................

What if Samsung and Nokia, out of their amazement with X1, suddenly released press statements advertising the first Xperia phone? How would it go like? (just a hypothetical scenario hehehe)

Imagine...
a phone so simple yet so powerful.
With minimal design but with maximal features inside.

Imagine...
a phone that bridges the gap between business, recreation, leisure and communication. Connecting people has never been this easy, fun and converged.

With a Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, its not that hard to imagine..

Xperia: Open up to a Whole New Mobile Experience.
See newer. Hear newer. Feel newer.

yup mate. these are great times for us lovers and for themselves.
X1 will be one (if not the only one) of the most talked about handsets for 2008. (mr dicky will not commit the mistake had in p990 imo)

excess: PK says wait till we see p5. i guess so handsets will be the most talked about this year

Mib, what's to prefer? Personally I'd go for the X1, seeing that the resolution is better, it makes much more use of the display for showing movies in today's standard (1920 x 1080 pixels HD, resized to 800 x 450 pixels). It's obvious that the 1:1.77 movies don't do good on the N95.

Everything has been calculated and created to fit the relations between the displays. The N95 video picture has also been enlarged (it would be more in real life!) by Photoshop, and has thereby been improved. It would be a lot worse in real life.

But X1 resolution is 800 X 480 pixels, am i wrong?
800/480 = 1.66

so those movies should resize to 800x480 not 800x450.

EDIT:

Ok, 1.66 is more near to 1.77 than 1.33(320/240).
