The earlier the better. I want to hold that beuty in my hands. After that I decide if I'll buy it. Before that I have to use the K700i.

If a company like SE announces something in March, and tells the world the product will be out towards the end of the year, and then release it just over half way through the year it does make them look unprofessional.
It makes them look as if they dont know their own products. It makes them look like they might have rushed to get the product out. It makes them look like greedy money-grabbers. It makes them look like liars.
I think its would be highly foolish of SE to release the S700 anytime soon, since they've only just released the K700, which is pretty much the same phone minus the high end digital camera and Duo slot. Not to mention the fact we know SE have at least one P series phone in development which might appear around the same time as the S700 is expected.
Personally, im going to hold off buying a S700 since im so happy with my K700 right now. Im going to wait for the price of the S700 to come down or for the next P series phone to be released before i decide to hand over more cash to SE. If the next P series phone has a 1.3mp camera, i'll buy that over the S700. However, i really cant see SE releasing either phone until October-December.

I do agree that the S700 myself would probably come out just before Christmas. Then I would also wait a while for the first/second batch to sell first.
I'm going to wait until Feb '05

Here in the UK, the June issue of Carphone Ware House catalogue and magazine list S700's launch date as "Avaliable Summer". LOL Talking to the staff seem to place it around september time.
