Unless your a very lucky beta tester e.g. PK /

press e.g. Mizzle (i think i am correct in stating 'press') or work in the specific

departments, thats all anyone can do, be patient and wait.

Then why wait for Paris when you have Xperia? Only because Paris has a 5MP cam???

Ive got a similar reasoning too, financially. Still, these things are expensive, so I cant really justify spending so much on something which is only 50% what I wanted. I'd be willing to wait an entire year for Paris's successor if it met my full requirements of every little feature I may want to use. Hopefully wont be that long though
MikeMeyers: That, and, Its a little on the bulky side, I was looking forward to something sleeker, a better camera in all respects, better USER INTERFACE DESIGN (Id be fine with WM if it looked good, because to be fair WM does everything Id expect it to do, but as a product design student, I cant buy something for which there are so many other choices if I dont like the way it looks). Im not ruling it out though, but it doesnt seem to be exactly what I was hoping for. I want something more of a finger touch basis. As Ive said before Id be happy with the G900 UI.

Untill this very moment to me it seems Paris hasn't managed to come up yet with something new or original like previous SE P series models did (except perhaps P1i). I've always wondered why didn't SE come up with an update to p990i like p910i was for the p900 (increased RAM and better cam)...
Anyway, at this moment xperia seems more like a SE flagship than Paris. Just my opinion... Hope things will change in the future when Paris will be oficially anounced and when we will se some official specifications.

Tigershark42 Same for me here!

Right. I'm lovin' the pictures, but all the recent speculation on specs is giving me a headache, like I said. Only when the official specs come out (or specs from a reliable source) will this finally be settled.

One more thing: we haven't seen UIQ v3.3 in action yet so we can only guess how it will "look and feel". As for now we can only compare the future Paris UI to what we've seen in G700/900. Who knows what innovations and/or features Paris and UIQ 3.3 will bring in the UI

The more you visit this site, the clearer it becomes that at the end of the day youre the one who will buy the device, so listen to informed people, and filter out any good ideas from anyone else, keeping those as ideas only. Other than that, theres nothing more to it besides waiting for the concrete evidence and hence justification (or otherwise) of whether or not you want to buy it

Some more thoughts:
When PK said there will be other phones with higher specs than Paris: This is ambiguous (no doubt on purpose

). Shiho, if it indeed has a 7.2 MP camera and optical zoom, is technically higher-specced, but is it an alternate choice to Paris? Not for me.
All I want is a phone--any phone--with specs that match up with the list we knew about in November. VGA touchscreen, 5 MP camera, blah, blah, blah. If the phone we're being leaked now has those things, that is what I'm going to buy. It's all I need and all I've wanted since Nov. If Paris does not have these things, I will wait, once again, for this mythical super-phone to be announced.

yes this thread is for 2008 not 2020 so the number seven is useless..... how many for 2008 ?
I think his point for posting that was to show that Paris is not the only UIQ phone this year, not by a long-shot. So, the people claiming 2.6 QVGA etc, etc, may not be wrong--there probably will be devices with those specs later on to appeal to all market segments--but Paris is not it.
yes, that was my point...i still, this does not mean paris wont be a kick ass phone...people are forgeting the more important thing on the new upcoming crop of uiq phones: they wont be anymore underpowered in terms of processor...that is far more interesting than knowing the size and resolution of the screen

Oh no why is there better phones from SE soon?!!!!! I'm not waiting for sure and I need something to replace my Z610i by the end of Christmas of this year, in which this phone should be out (notice me refraining to use P5i).
This is all so confusing!

I doubt the d pad will be success given the small spacing.
I am referring to user who need d pad for gaming or fast texting or wap browsing
I am using W580 now...I do find it is just a little smaller than what I used to get on my Z710
its going to be a tough thing....since keypad is tricky thing but from the look of it and assumption on the size...it just look like a tough thing to use
Well you do know that emilie is supposed to be a low end phone and not for extreme gaming or web browsing? I don't know anyone who uses a low end phone for these - they only want simple basic features and maybe a few more added bonuses: camera, perhaps mp3 ringtomes? So for the features the Emilie provides (I hope I'm spelling it right!) by Mizzle, it's a pretty good overall for a lowender.
@Poplover,
Thanks for updating us on the Beibei.
