Questions I posed to zomg... comments anyone?

ME:
1) Any idea of the materials being used on the 2H flagship body? Will it be glass again, plastic or metal?

ZOMG:
1. Metal and glass


ME:
2) Any idea of the screen being used? Sharp IGZO? JDI White Magic? AUO OLED?

ZOMG:
2. IGZO is the front runner


ME:
3) You've mentioned before about the larger sensor size in the newer high end phones. Any idea what that size is? Also, there's been talk of Sony having new JPEG compression software but do you know if it'll be ready for the phones this year?

ZOMG:
3. 1" type, same as in the RX100, new encoding engine is not ready yet, but I have heard that the current level of post-processing is going to be dialled down eventually.


ME:
4) Will the phablet be using the haptic feedback stylus Sony has a patent for and was making rounds on the internet some months back?

ZOMG:
4. I'm not sure it will be ready on time. Probably digital ink like the Vaio Duo.


ME:
5) There's also talk of a new tablet for later this year, possibly with a higher res screen. Any details at all you can share? Size, features...? If they can make a super tablet with the stylus from the phablet, I'm in!

ZOMG:
5. Not sure, there was talk of a 13" tablet a while ago, but I haven't heard anything about it for a while so it might be canned.


I can dream of the phone having a 1" sensor, but I just find it so hard to believe if it's going to be relatively thin. Just bought my RX100 a few days ago and loving it so far. Would give my left butt cheek for this camera quality in a phone

Seriously! Not being nasty or anything. I trust Zomg more that you ramu. Last year, you were just copy and pasting what unknown13 said, and suddenly you are now an insider... :S

I'm not saying your information aren't accurate, but i trust Zomg more than you, who made up rumours to "trick" PA and caused confusion

I didn't mean that zomg is not an insider. What I meant was after PhoneArena quoted him, he has stopped giving out accurate info. He's not been right even once this year. All his info turned out wrong. So maybe he doesn't want PA and other sites to take him seriously and hence he's giving out not so correct info.

Has there been any news about Playstation Mobile being rolled out into more countries? I feel like that's a big leverage that Sony Mobile are failing to use.

Actually last year ZOMG was giving out accurate info and I quoted his posts myself on the 2012 thread. But then PhoneArena quoted zomg and wrote an article about Xperia Yuga odin - 5/5R. ZOMG was pissed at PA for this and since then he hasn't given out accurate info.

Maybe cuz of the fear that PA will quote him again

Actually, the Xperia 5/5R was the naming system that Zomg suggested to Sony to use instead of the alphabet soup that they are using now. It was not a rumour. It's just that the PA people dont have the brains to read proper

That's true of course

@Topic

Sony will not make its own chips for 2014 but make custom high end chips with Qualcomm. The custom chips will be better performing than the best Qualcomm chip and be exclusive to Sony. Like Apple A5X, A6 , A7 etc.


And phablet name will not be an alphablet
