Ahhh -- so we're practically daydreaming about the new R3xxx FW... disappointed with SE. Have turned back to my old trusy K790 and chuck K850 back into the drawer...

Well not for sure, they told me the same thing when I mailed them right before R1EA037 came out (I had all bugs you could imagine so I really wanted to know). Maybe they aren't allowed to tell anything about it or something..
Oh well i'm back to my K750 right now since my K850 just died.

Yep the dutch SE customer service also said there were no issues known with the k850..when i mailed them about BROD.
They said my mail would be forwarded to "their software department"
I pointed them at this thread and at the BROD solutions thread.

I decided not to use my 850 after several reboots - really would not like it to brod on me!! Fingers crossed for the new R3xxx or the like and hope the Mxxx SE expert gets it right this time:)

I saw our se rep again and he had a list of known faults being addressed (as well as Previous fixes in FW) and they have nothing there about BROD. He made a call to one of his contacts in management and advised that this needs to be looked into. He asked where I got the info about BROD and I informed him of Esato.com. Hopefully he has a look and can forward all our gripes on too! Mind you, the list is so long I fear it will be filed in the "too hard" pile.

SAD, but maybe BROD will be fixed in next FW

Has anybody noticed that k850 bluetooth is very weak compared to it's predecessors?

Yeah I noticed it, and its muck !!
Anytime I use the streaming music on my K850i towards my Parrot carkit or on my SE HBH-DS980
I cant Fast Forward onto next track without hitting the FF button about 4 or 5 times. (I can use the button on the phone itself or through the menu's, but the defeats the whole purpose of bluetooth)
And when your streaming music, the phone is as slow as a granny going up a stairs.
FFS the K800i had no bluetooth problems like this, I think K850i owners have been guinea pigs for the new platform, the sooner they upgrade the A200 platform the better.
I highly doubt new firmware will make bluetooth and the phone better, but I would love to be proved wrong

Nope! Quite the contrary in my experience! I leave my watch in the bathroom (3rd floor) and I still pick it up on ground floor! This is with powersave off but shouldnt really affect it? What are you using your bluetooth for?
