Aku pede maki "head-on" anytime......and dont you dare call us "mate". And "....How I wish I'd been a Norwegian/British/German instead, oh boy . . . " -- Kinahihiya ka ng mga Filipino.....eto inglis para maiintindihan mo....If ignorance ever goes to $40 a barrel, can I have a drilling rights to your head?

some people think that their argument becomes stronger when they insult the adversary. this is called resorting to ad hominem arguments. some people also think that they will be impressive if they keep on talking and sometimes use "big words", but on the contrary it only showcases their small brains. take the following examples:

1) a user named "anay" from london started a thread where he was looking for a Nokia 8855. our friend posted the following very erudite message:

"Hmmm . . . I though you are from Manila, basing it from your username mate, it means - "wood eaters" in my turf. I hope you'll find what you are looking for pal. Good Luck! "

first of all, of what value is this post to the person looking for a Nokia? can this not be interpreted as done merely to up one's number of posts? one of our friends was banned for this kind of behaviour. secondly does the word "anay" really mean "wood eater" in tagalog? or maybe theres another dialect in his "turf" which defines the word anay as wood eater? somebody from the philippines answered his post, much to his chagrin. to which he answered--

"@xxxxxxxx- Shhhh .. . one for all, all for one na naman kayo eh, tumahimik ka na lang - 'moron' ! My apologies for Anay here. Good Luck still with your search mate"

this post speaks for itself. it illustrates what kind of a person our friend is. who is the real moron here?

after that some other filipino posters joined in. this caused the thread starter to retort-- "what r u lot talkin bout"

2) this is my personal favorite. a thread was started by a user having problems connecting to wap using a t610, he says:

"Using a Sony Ericsson T610 - when I connect to WAP, is there an option to say YES or NO. Sometimes I press the button my mistake and it connects automatically."

Once again, our friend contributes very insightful information, he says:

"Unfortunately, I haven't tried this - WAP access, even once How this differs or is related from the WiFi thing As I want to try the latter in the very near future . . . "

I'm sure the thread starter appreciated that bit of information very much. but OMG this is the first i have ever heard somebody use the term "related from". maybe he meant "differs from or related to"?

3) a user was having problems using his bluetooth dongle to swap files with his PC. Once again, our very knowledgeable friend helps the user with this valuable tip:

"@xxxxxxx - Thanks mate! Yup, I guess there's a sure way to go around the configuration . . . my Dad told me that it worked with his Nokia 6230 before, though I installed the software again, maybe there is just something I miss back there . . . I think and hope that your problem will be solved too mate . . . !"

This guy reminds me of a coach we once had in basketball. When the game was on the line, and we badly needed to score, he would look at us and tell us "Basta galingan niyo!".

Anyway, all this barrage of information has tired me out. (Maybe its because I have such a small monkey brain). Ill just continue this some other day. oooh oooh ohh can i have some bananas?
