Good day to you guys .....Ok SE it been one month and about 1 week since your last Firmware fix it was not a new update I said befor just trying to keep k850 users quite while try you get it right make us all happy and bring on this long awaited award winning Firmy you know the problems so there no need to itemise ...As I said before if you are smart people do not launch the c902 untill you launch the r3 firmware this way after all we are all guiny pigs so you might just let us test it first anyway and get some feed back you all not suppose to make the same mistake twice ....beside face detection and touch buttons around the screen along with new slim design and a little faster processor there isnt much difference with these 2 phones so let us get the or sample of this firmware before people spend their money and time posting threads

Ok i will try to answer as many questions as possible.
037 isnt currenlty ava to all networks or generic phones. If your phone says it has the latest update when checking over the air or on SEUS then SE hasnt placed the new firmware on the main server yet.
Just to Clarify, Orange, Voda, 3 and t-mobile havnt yet approved 037 from what i beleive. There is also no date to say they will. If you have problems then the best bet is to go back to them. More people that pester them, then quicker they will auth it.
Virgin, and o2 have approve 037
I have an o2 unbranded phone and cant get the 037 firmware, why??
037 over 029 is not a main firmware update, 037 is a quick short term fix to java problems, phone script errors and boot up problems. Many people like me ended up with phones that just flash on boot up. The early firmware is the cause of this possible jave boot problems from what i understand.
If you have 029 firmware and currenlty have application, java script errors then you can try the update, but norm you have to reflash the firmware.
If you dont encounter the java, script or boot problems and still on 029, then you may encounter these problems further down the line. 037 has been released to prevent these from happening.
in 037 there is a current bug which people did notice regarding bluetooth. This i would think will be resolved in the next firmware.
The next release in 10th Dec which is possible to be a major release. But dont quote me on this.
@Kristoff If your phone has china firmware, updating via SEUS does not change the firmware, it only updates the current one on you phone to the latest version. So for you, you will get the latest China version what ever has been approved.
The only way to get rid of this is using a programme called Davinci who debrand the K850i phones.
Many people also ask that once you have debranded the phone will it go back to the original software when you next update. Answer to this is no (Or i have never heard of any that do). When you debrand, the phone gets the a new CDA (Which is the version of branding or generic software) SEUS looks for when updating.
So for example.
You have a Orange Uk branded phone which is 1201-9792 ORANGE UNITED KINGDOM/ BLUE ORANGE-SIGN
CDA of the software is 1201-9792
You debrand using Davinci or any other programme (Davinci is the only one i know that is currently debradning) and you now choose 1201-9794 CUSTOMIZED UK/ BLUE WESTERN-EUROPE
CDA of the sofware is 1201-9794
So next time you update your phone using SEUS as you debranded useing CDA 1201-9794, SEUS will look for CDA 1201-9794 and update the phone with this software.
Hope this helps and answers most questions

hhhhmmm.
c902 have a smaller screen..... no xenon flash......smaller camera module (which i think will deteriorate the quality).
does c902 have IMX-020 like K850 ?????
ps. though, im really curious about c902 cam driver. maybe its better optimized then k850 ????

photo flash ^^, dose NOT produce a stronger light then Xenon. Xenon is still better and stronger
^^ this new type of LED flash is called photo flash
but the good thing with photo flash is that you can use the flash with bestpic. thats freaking awesome i must say
(it can fire away flash lights several times which xenon cant, xenon must "refill" it self some seconds)

I think that there is another forum here in esato thats states that c902 pics are quite awful. Before we jump into another SE hiatus we must first evaluate the next cyber-shot cam phone.

i feel seriously let down with my k850i after upgrading from the excellent k800i, that was the champion.
Thats exactly how we k750 users felt when we upgraded to k800i. We thought k800 was a let down but it turned out to be excellent after some updates. Lets be a bit patient.

I hope R3 firmware released soon for K850i..
Hav try C902.
1. Touch key is more responsive than K850i
2. Overall UI response is faster than K850i
3. Laggy Media Player problem is gone. Even when you listening a music, java apps or write message still react fast.
At first, I thought that's because C902 has faster processor.
But after google searching, I realise that K800, K810, K850 and C902 are all using ARM9 processor at 200Mhz.
So maybe that's because R3 Firmware things?
I hope so
Also, it will be very grateful if they add these to K850i's R3 firmware:
1. Face Detection, Colour Reproduction and Color Saturation fix.
2. New Noise Reduction Algorithm. (K850i's NR is horrible)
3. Customizable menu icon from flash themes.
4. VGA rec @30fps (K850's IMX-020 are able to do this. It's all about camdriver!)
5. Geotagging feature
6. K850 doesn't support HGE-100 GPS Enabler. All to do is firmware thingy. Hope they will add support.
7. Add a support for MXE-60 flash accessories. Two flash blinking at the same time when taking photos will be fun! (Although it drains your battery twice faster)
All feature I mentioned is all about firmware things, not hardware things to do with K850i!
As we know for example, K770i, K800i and K810i has the same firmware revision number: R8BA024.
Maybe it will do for K850i and C902?
And I hav compared K850i initial firmware with current R1EA037. R1EA037 is much faster.
So maybe we will get C902 UI speed at K850i!
I'm dying to wait R3 firmware release for K850i!
Does anyone here knows the release date?
Thanks for your attention,
Hiron
