Okay, about the cancer thing, so there is a cure. Why would doctors share it with the world? They make more money from cancer than they would make from the cure. There is a war in Congo. America says it is an internal affair. Why? Because there is more money coming out of that war into Americas pockets than there would be from peace in that country. Same thing with telkon(intentionally spelled like that) the government gets more money from them if they suck the country dry. So wherever anyone has ever gotten the idea that any government will look out for their good, i dont know. Criminals have more rights than the innocent.

So yeah, i smoke the most expensive pipe tobacco, and 50bucks lasts a week between me and 2 other friends. Only smoke outside at night or at the pool club where everyone smokes. Everyone comes to us and ask us what we smoke because the smell is so pleasant. Going to nap. Bonfire at my place tonight. Got quite a few friends coming. Only will smoke afterwards, just considerate.

Eish mense, summer is here! Ja ok, i know it's still spring, but the weather is stunning in PE! Absolutely windless for once, the sun is setting, and it's a pleasant 24 degrees in my backyard. Two short little weeks from today i'll be sitting outside the holiday place in the Langkloof, tending a cooking fire... Bring it on!!

So we did the bonfire thing tonight. Great weather for it. We usually do it often during the winter, but not really this year. Everyone just left, as we all have busy days tomorrow. Usually we would go play pool aswell. Got band practise tomorrow then an engagement braai in the evening.
Want to post pictures of the evening, but yeah, even the full html version gives crap. Maybe i should see if i can get it posted using internet explorer instead of firefox. What did you guys do?

I hung out with some friends from parliament- won't say which party they work for. The night ended relatively early as I've got work today and busy day afterwards.

My daughter had some of her Grade 1 friends sleeping over last nite, so we hired some kiddy movies, and i duly spent the evening watching Barbie in her many guises before calling it an early nite.

I think Rhino's poin is that if smokers have no respect for themselves not the singular body God gave them, how can they thusly have respect for those around them.

Either that or I always have something to say.

That is correct, same with tatoos, if God wanted us to have em, he woulda given em to us.

1st of all, i am a very "natural loving" person, in terms of, i like things as they were created. Your body should be kept as it is, without make up, tatoos, smoking, even drinking in some cases puts me off.

As to having a divorce coz of smoking, it goes deeper than actually smoking.

We made a promise to each other, that neither of us will ever smoke (we both used to smoke) and promises is something i take to very seriously. I hardly ever make promises.

And about the church wedding thing, is something we both decided on.
We come from different churches, why should either of us get baptised and all those "neccecerry" things to be accepted in a new church, especially if you feel that the message that the new church is sending out is not right?
We both agree on this.

Rhino: You're quite hardcore there but then again I understand where you coming from.

I'm dropping by Musica this afternoon and will pick up a Virgin starterpack...just to check out their GPRS/EDGE service.

Had a long day at work yesterday.
Then got home, binged on some Chinese take-aways and then mowed the lawn, installed some garden lighting and chilled in front of Sky TV's best offerings...nothing too mind-blowing.

Now here's an ama-cheap-cheap deal for a Bluetooth headset and phone combo: trade in any old phone and get a basic Sagem my-X401 (VGA cam) with Bluetooth headset for a whopping £29.99 (approx R390).
The phone is however locked to T-Mobile, but it's still cheap for what you're getting...considering the value of a B/T headset in itself...

Also, the K800i is available on O2 PAYG now, for £214.99 (approx R2795)when you trade in any old brick AND use The Link's 10% online promotion code on their website. No branding on the O2 phone.

I hear you, Rhino, under those circs i agree with you. My cuz and 1 of my best friends are getting married in a few weeks, they're in a similar situation too, with the Father wanting him to be baptized despite having been a baptized member of his own congregation for 20plus years. Utter tripe! The upshot is that they're getting married elsewhere, by a minister who's not as parochial as the good Father. To think that these are grown folks, both over 30, level-headed, neither married before, sat thru months of marriage prep classes, just to hear this crap a few weeks before their big day. Yeah right, and then the churches wonder why ppl are drifting away...
