@Oogamus: Go to Settings, Aplications, Manage Applications, Contacts Storage, Clear Data

@exokello - thanks a lot, will try that.

Also I have an x10, and also bought the x 10 mini - what's the easiest way to transfer all my 1200 contacts from the x10 to the x10 mini??

Don't have wi fi or data connection, so can't use sony ericson sync or google sync, plus the darn x10 mini doesn't accept the contacts the good old bluetooth way as a single vcf file. ( transferring contacts from my p990 to the x10 was a breeze via bluetooth).. Plus my sim card can't hold more than 200 contacts - so that option is ruled out... anything I am missing?

you don't need WIFI to use SE or Google SYnc. Just a plain mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE or 3G).

Arne Anka - I know - I have mentioned above that I don't have continuous access to data connection - as in the places where I work, have very poor mobile/gprs signal...

Is there a simpler direct way to transfer contacts from x10 to x10 mini, without using any connection to the internet? Bluetooth, via pc, memory card etc... Can't seem to find a way...

I can't believe how FAT the x10 mini Pro looks compared to the x10 mini. I was playing with both today and even though the difference is like 1mm the mini Pro looked huge compared to the slim mini

Both x10 mini and x10 mini pro remind me of the old, small candybar mobile phones, especially Nokia 8310...

@S4k1s, it's not just the thickness, the top/bottom parts of the pro slope farther out as well.

But it it were any thinner, it would be very difficult to hold securely.

I have to admit, both the Mini and Mini Pro do feel very good to hold, in spite of (or because of?) their thickness.

**Latest on my tech blog about my X10 Mini Pro... 128K SIM card rendered my phone dead... was about to have it serviced when a SIM swap fixed the issue... old SIM didn't work on JUST the X10 Mini Pro... new SIM worked then killed the phone again... I was able to trace it to an overheating issue with the 128K SIM when rebooting the phone... so if your X10 Mini/MP doesn't wanna turn on, try removing the SIM and cooling it down (touch an ice cube, then touch the back of the SIM for a bit, wipe dry then reinsert)... odd fix, but it has proven a consistent fix... I can even replicate it now! HAHAHAHA!**

I upgraded yesterday to 1.1.A.08 in India on OTA and got two fresh apps installed, Roller Coaster & Backup/Restore. The Roller Coaster is trial and asks to purchase after just one trial. I dont need the app anymore and want to uninstall it. Similarly the license for my Wisepilot has also expired and I want to uninstall that too. Erasing these two apps will release around 10mb memory free in my MINI. Can anybody tell me how to do it. A tried a few apps including the default application manager. But all of them are unable to uninstall default apps.
BTW, the upgrade from Sony appears to make the phone smoother. But the policy on Sony's part to install trial apps as default in phone memory is not tolerable. Once trial period is over, it only occupies precious phone memory and there is no way we can uninstall these apps. Can anybody help me as to how to get these unwanted default apps uninstalled
