Anyone find the shutter capture sound irritating? Its too loud! I suppose this is to stop mis use of the cameras these days, but can u change the sound so that it does a beep instead. It made an annoying loud noise at the tennis event when you want to take a pic that i got told off! Its louder than my digital camera which I forgot to bring with me! Another annoying thing is that although you can take a photo with the phone closed you cant do the same with a video. But apart from that its seems a reasonable phone at the mo. No way as good as my p900 but this is going to be used as my social phone. One funny thing is that with the 3g symbol on i only get 1 bar of signal on but i still get reasonable quality reception, yet without the 3g symbol then this is max strength. This is in Birmingham. Anyone else notice this?

The reason why you only have 1 bar when the 3G symbol is there and then full strength when not is probably because the 3G-net where you are is not strong but the GSM-net are... and when your phone cant recive 3G it switch over. (if it does this alot the batterytime is badly effected)

vlamm : it's on sfr website...but still not working

Btw, i had a huge problem with my phone on wend ; the umts network was having troubles in Paris, and i could nor call nor be joined

Then i did a manual search for network and forced it into gsm network, then i could call/be called but one min later the phone was connecting to 3g again ; i've called sfr, they haven't any solution to force gsm network use, that's a big problem imho, anyne found a way of blocking 3g ? They also told me to call SE which were told responsible for the "3G lock"...i just laughed at the tech guy, as afaik actual firmware has been designed by and for voda, and i understand as a commercial issue the 3g lock thing...

Any tips ?

go to connections, searching options, set it to manual search instead of auto, then select network and set it to your gsm network. Works on mine... it doesn;t go looking for 3G that way. Saves the battery too

I have a question: when in visio, the quality provided is that of 3gp video, such as that found on K700 or s700 for instance?

I mean, the codec used for visio conference is .3gp or .mp4? There's got to be a great deal of pixellisation?

It's MEMORY STICK DUO PRO that works with the phone. And I think even other brands than Sonys DUO PRO works...
I'm waiting for the 512mb i orded a few days ago! Thats a lot of music.. and maby I'll encode some simpsons-episodes too.. just because it works!
