@Angel, you have to find out if you have the GPRS signal on your celtel line first before trying to tweak anything. if it's available, there are couple of APN's you could use to enjoy free GPRS.

I didn't realise so many people were staying away because of political gist, well welcome back to you all.
Quotes don't come out as before after the esato facelift.

News! Celtel wins brand of the year award. And to celebrate this, the company is giving half price calls and sms (on net) from midnight tomorrow till 6am on monday. Nice eh?

@amby: All these fly-by-night offers by the GSM companies is just a facade. Who will I be calling at 2a.m. at night? No-one who knows me will certainly call me at that time too - except on an absolute emergency.

Celtel came in with a lot of noise, but we see very little in terms of innovative delivery of services or pricing. I'm not impressed.

All telcos seem to have become lottery houses - instead of offering real value. It is sickening, in my opinion. But my opinion may not necessarilly count now, you know.

@mamba: I checked that guy at Ladipo a week after, he didn't have accessories for the ppc phones which raised my suspicion that the phones were stolen abroad and moved down here. So, I let it pass. Thanks for the info.

@areafada: No-one in the world owns a final release N95...Nokia are probably still sorting out glitches. Some MTN stores have already advertised that they'll stock this device but we'll only be able to get at the most ridiculous price. Seriously, there are better things to spend my hard-earned money on.

@Mamba: don't go feeling guilty, because not all the phones sold at Ladipo are stolen. I actually think less than 5% are stolen. However, I can't say the same about computer village Ikeja.
@Aya: the half price calls on Celtel to Celtel lines being offered is not for midnight calls only. Its for the whole day 2moro. But I agree with u on the lottery angle.

i plan on getting an N95 when it comes out just to play with it.should be out any minute now..alot of people are into phone insurance scams.they claim thier phones are stolen then the phones get blocked. but they will work outside the country so they send them back to nigeria.and they get brand new ones free. or for as little as £20....so it could be possible that the phone was stolen

So who are the people running these insurance scams? Nigerians? You should hope that some of the closet racists don't read this post because there'll be a lot of backlash.
Just from what I've heard the N95 will be more than $500 when it comes out...so if you choose to insure it will cost you a heck of load of cash.
But I doubt anyone in Europe just "loses" their precious phones to get back at insurance companies, all likelihood is that the phone you are getting relatively cheap in Naija was stolen.
