Sweep panorama is the Sony panorama software now also in Xperia phones. You press the shutter & then move the camera around in a 360 degrees angle. It then makes the shot!!

Thanks plank, a bit off topic but this is what sweep panorama does



Night shot example from a few pages back. Notice the curving tower, the kind only wide lens DSLRs can make, it captured the world's tallest twin towers in one frame from just 100m distance. Now you can do this from a phone

tried the flash on a big neon billboard at ~50m (no kidding)....the camera captured the image at iso.200....i thought it would turned up ok...but this is just wow.
