That's correct. The hardware has been changed, and I'm not saying this will be the final product, but this design is in fact the one used in one of the P5 prototypes.
And yes, about the last announcement of the year, that's correct, too. That blog is in fact my blog and I was the one who posted about that after having had a chat with
I still strongly believe that there won't be any announcement of P5 until very late January, but I've asked
once again about any announcements this year. Still waiting for an answer on that one, though.

Two Japanese phones to be announced in January 2008 - both for AU KDDI.
The
W62s is a Cyber-shot handset, we can assume it'll be 5.0MP.
The
W61s is a Walkman phone with lighting effects, CDMA EVDO Rev.A plus GSM and a WVGA screen.
Availability around springtime.

What are lightining effects? U mean the same stuff that was there in the S500i, those lights on the sides?
Btw d specs sound interesting. Wonder why SE doesn't launch phones with WVGA displays elsewhere?

i'm sure the W62s will be another 5mp phone with Optical zoom. but this time will probably use CCD sensor and xenon flash - who knows anyway
but i'm sure Japan will make something like this as i have put my faith more on SE Jp than in SE sweden

those displays are too expensive for our market, but it's okay for Japan...
me too, I hope to find a SE phone targeted to globe but with at least some features, not all from SE Japan, lets say, design or those sexy Widescreen displays
I think if K850i was Widescreen with it's price will be ok, but I donno how much these will add to the cost, I don't even know how much Japanies phones cost !!
