As of last weekend SEUS is still installling R2AE033. Not entirely sure when they will get the newer version although I would certainly benefit from the increased bluetooth connectivity speeds . If only Davinci would sort out their update service so that they offered something similar to SEUS.

If you update using SEUS you do not loose your data whereas using Davinci you do. Fairplay if you are re-branding or re-flashing the entire firmware then great but I only want to update to R2AY

Bug in the latest official release of R2AY004:

Actual "Code Memo" can be viewed with any typed code.

Verified with version R2AT also.....

edwardanderson: Aaah this could be why SEUS aren't releasing the update as yet. Just out of interest, you do know that entering any code the application will still allow you into code memo? If you enter an incorrect code the only way you can tell is that the check word is scrambled and all the codes are still encrypted. Are you saying that if you enter an invalid code it still displays the correct check word and codes?

If this is the case then this is really weird as I doubt this application has really changed much since the release of the K700i...so for it to now not be working means they have tinkered with this module...I wonder what they were trying to do.

fintarob: Probably best you create a new thread for this problem. When you do, please add more detail such as what method of connection you are using (DSS-20, 25, DCU-11, etc). Please note that you can only use the DSS-20/25 with the SEUS and this must be installed and working when you attempt to use the service. Also you must not have the power supply connected to the DSS-20/25....as this stops it working too.

I tried the SEUS just now; it was still feeding my unbranded K700 with R2AE033.

R2AY004 on SEUS?

@mwarner:

It will be nice if you change the URL to SEUS in your first post.

I am pretty sure TMS has R2AY, they always have the latest firmware before anyone else. As long as you know what you are doing TMS is a superb tool for updating firmware!

Alternatively try http://www.davinciteam.com/

With their client you can update to the latest firmware although you will loose all your settings and files so back up fully before hand. Also this method costs but it can enable you to use the DSS-25.

I upgraded my K700i to R2AY 004 and my wife's K500i to R2AT at the local SE service last week.

Fixed the links to the K700 SEUS page and SE DRM Packager.
